This was our second stay at The Grove, and it did not disappoint! We find it the perfect place to recover from jet lag after flying to Heathrow, only a few minutes away. It's a fairly new golf resort and spa on the grounds of an old estate. The fine restaurant and some suites are in the old manor house,... more

We stayed at the Grove with our 8 month old baby. The kids pool is fantastic, and the attention to detail in provision for kids overall is great. Bottle warmers/ sterilisers/cots you name it they have it. The spa isn't cheap but treatments were good, although there is only a very limited number of sauna rooms etc. Food on site... more

We haven't been to The Grove since August 2004 and were slightly concerned by some of the recent reviews of the place. However, we had a fantastic time when we last stayed there, so when my husband found a good rate online (Expedia), he phoned the hotel directly and got them to match the rate, and we thought we would... more

This is an impressive hotel but it is all new new new and has very little charm. Everything fel very Holiday-Innish and mass produced with littel thought going in to it. Average food, nice enough staff and Ok all round but... customer service really let us down with some requests which was a real pain. Pretty average really. The rooms... more

First impressions were great, lovely public areas, grounds and room , they certainly live up to its 5* status. The one thing that lets The Grove down is the attention to detail on the service offered. Taking a seat at the Glasshouse bar in the late afternoon midweek i.e. not very busy, you would expect to be served fairly quickly,... more

After a disatrious Christmas/NY my husband and I booked ourselves and our daughter in to The Grove for a 'treat' weekend. We wanted somewhere with a kids club and a spa along with a decent restaurant but didnt want to travel miles for it - The Grove provided all of these. On arrival we were surprised at how big the... more

We stayed at `The Grove' in March this year as guests of a large corporation. When we arrived we thought that the buildings and gardens were lovely and had high hopes for our weekend. When we arrived our room wasn't ready so we went for lunch in the bar, where drinks and food were pleasant but incredibly expensive and certainly... more

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend at The Grove celebrating my Dad's 60th birthday. We chose the hotel primarily for the children's facilities and we were definitely not disappointed. My 3 year old son loved every minute playing at Anouska's which also includes an indoor pool specifically for young children as well as an outdoor play area. The... more

I stayed at the Grove to celebrate my partner's birthday. We were really dissapointed to experience so many service issues since our check in: quite long wait for our suitcasses to be brought to our room (at the very far end of the main building), our room service order was never delivered and we went to bed without anything to... more

Don't get me wrong, the hotel looks most impressive as you drive up to it and the grounds are well kept, but it is so impersonable. There are hundreds of rooms crammed into a huge extension off of this beautifully historic building and unless you pay the extra you will be put in a small, bland modern chain hotel style... more
