We spend a long weekend at The Grove, and with the lovely weather at the begin of July we enjoyed the little hidden beach with the swimming pool and beach area. Lovely park and golf course, and really a place to relax with the spa aswell. But a few things are to complain: -The coffee is just horrile, what ever... more

Wow! I loved this place - what a hidden gem. Superb setting. The facilities are excellent. We were lucky to have great weather whilst we were there so enjoyed 'the beach' and outdoor pool. I used the gym and had a spa treatment (the relaxation room is amazing!) There was a good selection of eating establishments: the formal restaurant is... more

We stayed at the Grove for 2 nights over the 2nd Bank Holiday in May 2009. We were very impressed. It is a beautiful hotel set in stunning grounds and the facilities are second to none, including a superb kid's club. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was even a box of toys in our room to entertain our... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Grove to celebrate my birthday in May. Overall highlights - the grounds are beautiful with lovely walks along the Grand Union canal, the spa facilities are excellent and treatments give you what you pay for, staff on the whole are helpful & friendly. The lowlights - The Glasshouse restaurant is more like a... more

Impressive hotel-with very attentive and cheerful staff they clearly have to juggle a lot of events at a time including 3 weddings on one of the days we were there it is very child friendly which may put some off although in the main all the activities seem to take place in set venues Didnt make it to the Spa... more

We stayed here on my wedding night in the mansion room and it was just amazing. There was a bath ready and waiting for me with candles and rose petals - the works. The breakfast was out of this world and nothing was too much for the staff. It topped off my wedding perfectly!! more

Whilst I have rated the location as average, the hotel's extensive and beautiful grounds themselves are fantastic if you are looking to get away from it all. We were staying in the West Wing but did get a view of some of the rooms in the mansion. I believe that all the rooms are of a high standard compared to... more

Having spent a very disappointing Valentines night at The Grove, (See previous review), my wife and I were delighted at the offer of complimentary dinner, bed and breakfast to make up for things. We were even more delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a Deluxe Mansion House Room. We were fortuatous with the weather being so sunny... more

We stayed two nights at the mansion in room #21 - a visual disappointment compounded by a view of the parking lot. The room was neither unique (as the rooms in the mansion are described) nor hip. Instead, the room was worn and charmless - I think another reviewer likened their room to a Learning Center; it certainly was not... more

I came here for an overnight stay as my boyfriend was playing golf the next day. I think it was during a long weekend. I would imagine that this hotel is quite pleasant (if a bit corporate and soulless) on weekday evenings but when we were there it was absolutely horrid. Jam packed full with a quite snooty clientele, most... more
