Visiting our friends from the Channel Islands, who took us here for the best steak supper, at a great price too ! My Ribeye was cooked to perfection, and it was a whopper. My Lemon Lush was truly luscious. Fabulous hosts, really friendly older style proper pub. The men enjoyed the beer very much, and gave it the big thumbs... More

The Roebuck Inn is awesome as the "youth" would say! My son recently became vegan so eating out is quite a challenge. We booked to eat at the Roebuck on perhaps one of the busiest weekends of the year at Easter and expected eating options to be very limited - when we arrived the Hosts had gone to much effort... We thoroughly enjoyed a three course lunch here, the log fire was very welcome and the host was very friendly too. We had a complete mixture from the menu and all was well cooked and presented superbly. We will definitely be revisiting this pub and would recommend the Roebuck to anyone for a meal and night out.

We visited as a family of four a few weeks ago for Sunday lunch and had a great time. Food was good, service more than acceptable. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the meal good value for money. Simple, straightforward and enjoyable.

My parents live locally and we always go out for a meal when we visit due to my mother being 'kitchen challenged'. We went to The Boot in nearby Orleton a few years ago when it was owned by the current owners of The Roebuck, and often talk about what a lovely meal we had there, so we were really... More

We were staying at a local bed and breakfast in the area for a couple of days, and so were in need of a place to have an evening meal. We went to the Roebuck only because I knew where it was, having once (more years ago than I'm comfortable remembering!) travelled up and down the A49 on a fairly... More

My husband and I returned to the Roebuck for lunch after a break of several months. The attmosphere was fab and we were greeted with genuine enthusiam and kindness by Jane and Phillip the propieters. We sat in front of a lovely open fire to eat. My husband had beef and ale pie with chips and veg while I had... More

A great local pub selling great food, have eaten here a few times and never been disappointed. Have called in here quite a few times, including on the way to a 1930's party... were made to feel more than welcome by the landlord and his wife. Being dog friendly and having a warming log fire in the winter is a bonus... More

This pub was fine for a fairly quick evening meal when staying in a nearby B&B. However, we were horrified to see (and smell!) a man smoking by the bar (just next to our table). This went on for some time and the bar staff must have seen him but did nothing about it. (Don't they know this is illegal?)... More

I am the owner ( and chef ) of The Roebuck Inn and have, in the past, declined to respond to comments made ( both positive and negative ) about The Roebuck as I believe everyone both has, and is entitled, to form an opinion of my Pub and my cooking !! On this occasion however, I feel I must... More
