Words can not describe how fantastic the riverside inn is, if you are looking for a gastronomic delight you must visit, every thing is perfect, hospitality, the food is mouth watering, the best place I have ever eaten, I would suggest booking, but the staff are all very welcoming and will go out their way to accommodate you...honestly if you... Menu was fantastic, and the food certainly lived up to its billing. Really delicious, fresh, tasty - and interesting. Not at all 'up itself' which was refreshing. A lot of the vegetables came from their own garden - can't get fresher than that! Unfortunately it was pouring with rain when we were there - it would have been fun to... More

First class food from a well thought out menu that uses locally sourced products where possible. I chose the mutton and my wife the pork. Both meals were well presented but without, I am pleased to say, too many flourishes. A delicious meal in great surroundings with pleasant staff. It's not rocket science but so few places can get it... More

We stayed a night as going to a wedding near-by so didn't partake of the dinner - the menu looked really inviting. The room was comfortable and well equipped tho as I stayed at the front overlooking the main (country) road, the cars going by late at night and early in the morning were quite loud. If staying again I'd... More

We had enjoyed a riverside drink here when staying in Ludlow a week earlier and decided to revisit on our return from Snowdonia. Our drive took us a bit longer than expected and we were worried we might miss lunch service but we were given a great welcome and the last remaining table on a busy Friday. The waiting/bar staff... It comes at a premium but the food here is absolutely worth it! I had a three course meal, and it certainly surpassed my expectations! I'd recommend the mutton main course and the lavender Creme brulee :) We only picked it because we had to arrange accommodation at short notice and ended up in a B&B down the road. The... More

We go to eat at The Riverside quite often and for special occasions too and it never disappoints. Richard, the owner, is an excellent front of house and welcoming. The staff are lovely - good service and the food is consistently good. Always a good selection for vegetarians too, and even a vegan menu was produced for us once which... More

A fabulous dinner menu last weekend! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly and venison dishes. Beautifully cooked food and neatly presented. We visited the Riverside after seeing it recommended by other guests in the visitors book at our rented cottage. We have done the same! Many thanks for the hospitality and wonderful food.

We ate here on a busy Saturday and the place was full, luckily we had booked, we had our dog with us as did several, other diners, and he was made welcome. the staff were very friendly the standard of food was great and the little extra touches such as toffee popcorn, candied nuts etc with my ice cream was lovely!... This is not the best pub food around but still very good. The location of this pub / restaurant is ideal sitting long side the river. We visited for a Sunday lunch with friends on a very sunny Sunday afternoon. The 3 course Sunday lunch with coffee and fudge was good value at £19.95 per person. Service was sometimes good... More
