I've just made a return trip to this hotel (last visit was 5 yrs ago and memorable so we thought we'd go back there) and I'm happy to say that this is still a great place to stay in the New Forest. We had a 4 poster family room, just for the 2 of us and at bargain price of... more

We have just returned from a two night stay at this Hotel. I wish I had read previous reviews before booking. Unfortunately there was a wedding reception on both nights and despite changing rooms we were able to sing along to the disco whilst lying in bed. The setting is beautiful but it would have been less noisy had we... more

I stayed at this hotel around six years ago and had an excellent time. Sadly, it has deteriorated beyond belief and after our experiences recently I will never go back. The first room we were shown to was tiny, dark and cramped with a lacklustre shower (no bath). We settled down for a nap after a long drive but at... more

Having previously stayed at another New Forest hotel owned by the same group, we were anticipating an enjoyable autumn break. Certainly the winter break prices are excellent value if everything is as good as promised. Sadly, the Bealieu Hotel was a let-down: 1. since we were taking our dog, we were offered a 'Garden Room' - do not accept any... more

The hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of heathland, and should, therefore be idyllic. When we booked we were told that there was a wedding on that weekend. This did not worry us as we assumed it wouldn't really impact our stay, as they gave no indication that it would cause any disruption. As it happens the wedding was... more

Perfect for a stay in the New Forest and plenty to explore from here. I would recommend a trip to Lymington and eat seafood by the quay. Rooms are adequate size, bright and clean. Food is simple, fresh and well prepared. Overall very pleasant and would recommend. more

Super location. Front rooms have fine views across open ground, but are subject to noise from traffic and from the bar immediately below. Some rooms recently refurbished, and very nice. Gravel car park adequate, but seriously potholed, and a pain in wet weather. Our front room was smallish, not refurbished, but OK. Large bathroom. Breakfast: good selection, including fish cooked... more

The staff were very pleasant and welcoming and stayed this way throughout our week's stay. However, if you are DISABLED be aware that the beds are the highest my wife and I have ever encountered in many years of hotel visits and that if you want to use the restuarant there are steps down into it or you have to... more

At £140 per night for a double room, this hotel is not good value-for-money. Common areas such as the bar, dining room etc are excellent but our room and I suspect most others are dated. Fixtures and fittings are poor quality and tired. The noise insulation levels between our room and the room above was also very poor. Thankfully there... more
