The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming which was positive. The hotel is right on the main road, easy to find, plenty of parking which is why we booked it as we were 'in transit' and needed a convenient overnight stop. It is more a big pub with rooms than a hotel. The room was adequate if a bit shabby.... More

We visited in July, we decided to eat in the restaurant downstairs after hearing good feedback however this was a wrong decision! On first impressions it seemed really nice but we were disappointed with the customer service. The staff were busy chatting amongst themselves plus we waited 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared. We then decided to go... More

Great location for visiting the new forest, the hotel has excellent amenities, ample car parking and a large forest garden. Breakfast was great and the menu for the restaurant very reasonably priced. Rooms comfortable and clean. All staff very polite and helpful

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The staff are very helpful and certainly go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, particularly Andy and lady on reception. Shame about the sky tv not being available anymore.

We stayed in this hotel for one night only, intending to eat in as we arrived late in the afternoon and did not know the area. As we drove up to the hotel there was a sign outside stating that there were no meals being served due to the kitchen being refurbished. This was not a good start. We booked... More

We stopped on our way home. Jane on reception went beyond the call of duty. She was so helpful. I would definitely stay here. We only saw the restaurant area and it was clean and welcoming. Thank you again Jane! It was our second visit and I would stay here if I was looking for accommodation in the area. There... More

My stay was for business and the location is excellent right on the main route. Rooms are dated but clean. Staff brilliant - they all really want to help, the attitude is all about what they "can do" for you. Food is really super, well priced and fantastic choice, couldn't fault it. Well stocked bar, excellent wine list. There's a... More

Such a shame, had a great evening after a long day enjoyed great service and food in the restaurant. However had room 210 and was extremely noisy from the road and when I woke in the morning for a shower there was hair and muck behind the fixture in the bath. Not a pleasant start to any day especially when... More

My daughter in law and I stayed here when visiting a friend in Ferndown. We found the Hotel and staff lovely, very helpful and obliging. The room we had was comfortable and clean, although we were at the front of the hotel the noise from the very busy road outside didn't bother us at all. We were not far from... More

We stayed at this Hotel on our way home and found it to be very good value for money. The lounge service was very good our meals were super. The room was large and clean. The hotel looks a bit tired but makes up for it with super service and friendly staff. We will recommend this hotel to friends.
