Why do so many hotels allow smokers to stand 6 deep by the front door ..horrible....the smell of smoke was wafting into the lobby and restaurant. Such a turn off when you arrive and when you are trying to enjoy lunch....but otherwise quite positive....a budget price gets you a budget room...food was hot..nicely presented...and reasonably priced...smiley receptionist...I' d def go... Bedroom (we stayed in the Christchurch suite) was very shabby, worn and in need of redecoration. Curtains had holes in and carpet was torn in places. The bathroom tiles had black mould in the grouting which was horrid. Breakfast was appalling. Sticky table, dirty crockery and cutlery, fridge cold sausage, raw bacon and luke warm beans. Very disappointing.

It's a welcoming pub with rooms situated on the A31. The exterior has recently been refurbished, but I have to say its time the interior had a make over, particularly the rooms. Food is very good. I had an evening meal and breakfast, and I can't fault either. There's a wide choice of quality meals which give you that feeling... More

We like to have a long week-end away with some friends once a year and we have enjoyed staying in a variety of hotels in the Old English Inn group. Our choice was made easier as this "Old English Inn" hotel is nicely situated on the edge of the New Forest and close to both Bournemouth and Poole and not... More

I attended a wedding here last weekend and have to say that I was not disappointed in any way shape or form. The hotel is lovely to look at from the outside with wooden beams and fantastic green spaces. The service was on point the entire evening with both servers and bar staff being polite and quick. The food was... More

We had a lovely stay at St Leonards , all the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful . The hotel was clean but the decor is becoming a bit tired the breakfast was very good value and cooked to order - we would rebook again .

Come here on a monthly basis to use the restaurant and have always found the food to be okay and good value for money.the place is in an ideal location and always seems quite busy.this place is badly in need of a refurbishment.

We booked many months ago to stay here for one night as it was a good location for a wedding we were attending. We paid £95 for a standard double room with breakfast. The reception desk was unmanned when we arrived at 14:00. Within five minutes the receptionist arrived. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel. The room was... More

The only plus point was that the linen on the bed was clean and the bathroom was also clean and tidy. The public rooms are tatty and the whole place needs a deep clean, all the door handles are filthy and the carpets are ripped. The food in the bar is below average although the service is fine. Breakfast was... More

Just returned from this hotel . There was eight of us in our party and everyone agreed that it was good value. The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing in the area. The hotel is a little tired in places but was spotlessly clean with a nice bar and restaurant which served pub style food at very reasonable... More
