Lovely room, lots of parking, staff when you can catch their attention could not do enough to help. Had both Breakfast and Dinner in the hotel and both could not be faulted, room was large with plenty of storage which being there for 3 nights was a great help, bed was huge, only downside was we were on the ground... My wife and I spent a night in the The St Leonard's hotel this week while we were on business, we have stayed there in the past and was quite surprised how much it had changed .. The hotel and room could do with a MAJOR make over the whole place it is looking very tired although they have made... More

My wife and I have stayed in many hotels for business reasons and this hotel amazed us with its excellent value. The room was clean and comfortable but could have been fitted with brighter lighting. The food was tasty, hot and quickly served and with two dinners for £9.99 can't be faulted for value. The other reviewers had problems it... More

I've stayed here twice now, as my office is just up the road, and although the property is desperately in need of a refurbishment it has got its positive points. Once I'd struggled through the two sets of worn out doors with my luggage, the check in was warm and efficient. I was fortunate to have a room at the... More

I'll start with the positives - it's in a good location. We don't live on a main road, so that was a bit noisy if you're not used to it, bed hardish, but comfortable. Room a good size for two of us. Basically clean, but needs a thorough clean and redecorating. It is quite shabby. Bar area nicely decorated. Most... More

Being that the area is regarded as one of the best visited areas in the country you would have thought that any chain would ensure that their properties in the area are top class. The hotel is dated, the rooms dated, but the worst aspect is the bar and restaurant. Why is it that all the staff did all they... More

Located on the A31 it is on a very busy road and the traffic was a nightmare getting there on a Saturday. The hotel looks great from the outside and has plenty of parking. The reception staff are very friendly, effecient and helpful. The rooms are a good size with good amenities but dated and looked a bit grubby. The... More

Why do so many hotels allow smokers to stand 6 deep by the front door ..horrible....the smell of smoke was wafting into the lobby and restaurant. Such a turn off when you arrive and when you are trying to enjoy lunch....but otherwise quite positive....a budget price gets you a budget room...food was hot..nicely presented...and reasonably priced...smiley receptionist...I' d def go... Bedroom (we stayed in the Christchurch suite) was very shabby, worn and in need of redecoration. Curtains had holes in and carpet was torn in places. The bathroom tiles had black mould in the grouting which was horrid. Breakfast was appalling. Sticky table, dirty crockery and cutlery, fridge cold sausage, raw bacon and luke warm beans. Very disappointing.
