We all gathered at hotel to celebrate the 70th Birthday of my Son-in-law's Father. and many of the guests including us were staying over, I had already read some of the revues and was a bit concerned about this hotel, well, let me tell you we did not have to worry at all, we did have to wait a short... I stayed at the St Leonard's for three nights and was generally disappointed. The hotel is much in need of a refurnishing. Walls need decorating and the carpet is threadbare. Otherwise clean. The food was OK what surprised me was there were many things on the menu "not available". They even had run out of porridge for breakfast. Most of... More

Comfortable, well-furnished but fairly basic rooms. Good bathroom but lacks all but bathroom basics, especially tissues. Good selection of cooked and cold food in restaurant with quick service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar well stocked. Easy access from main A31 dual carriageway. Conveniently located for New Forest, Ringwood and Bournemouth airport.

I can't agree with other reviewers with regards to the Staff as they were absolutely fine with me. The french doors in my ground floor room were unlocked and when asked the desk staff if they was supposed to be (as I wasn't sure if they were the type that could be opened from the inside but not the outside),... Have been going into the above on a Sunday for several years and have watched it go downhill by the week. The fault is mostly how the management run the place. The young staff are sullen and seem unwilling to serve. Two separate couples stood at the bar waiting to get served with staff walking past them and ignoring them, hence they walked out.It... This hotel is very good value for money. We booked last minute (really, just the day before) and got a room for two with breakfast for £65, that is the total, not per person. Where else in this district can you do the same and get a good-sized room with a spotless bathroom and all the usual facilities ? The... More

After reading previous reviews you are always sceptical and think people are just being picky ..... well on this occasion they were spot on !! Let me start with the positives .... the hotel is in an excellent location for our purposes, the rooms are of a good size , beds comfortable, nice pillows and a good shower .... that's... More

We ate here and it did represent good value and it was adequate but bland, if you are a foodie I wouldn't reccommend the food but if you just need food for fuel it is fine. My steak was cooked perfectly but the portions are rather small and my ice cream had melted so it was basically cream. I wouldn't... More

We are locals and after having a bad experience about 6 months ago. My review was taken off as I mentioned a member of staff being berated by another customer, we thought maybe the management has changed etc, but unfortunately of anything it's got worse. We were totally ignored as stood at the bar to order drink and food. Eventually... More

Stayed here for one night as we were attending a party in the area on Saturday and didn't want to drive back to Southampton. Smooth check-in without any fuss. Room was nice, spacious, had everything you needed. The main ceiling light in the bathroom was not working, so the room was a bit dark. The sheets, linen and towels were... More
