Had a very pleasant 2 night stopover, using their "accessible room".The staff were very helpful and nothing too much trouble, which is great when you're a single disabled traveller. Very good price for DB&B. The food was excellent, all the hot food was served on hot plates which is a verity these days. The only 2 things that put a... more

The hotel is set in lovely surroundings with forest views and ponies roaming freely, but we were not privileged enough to see any of this from our room. We had a quite dark and dingy room on the first floor with no greenery in sight apart from the moss growing on the roof of the indoor pool. For any visitors... more

I booked a four poster bed suite for my husband's birthday, the deposit was £40, the full cost was £156. The drive up to the hotel was full of pot holes, and the hotel needed painting outside. The reception area looked like something out of the "Hotel Inspector" and the corridors and passageways to the rooms were shabby, with paint... more

We have stayed at the Moorhill before and enjoyed it but this time noticed a few changes. We went on a special break which was not a bad price but would not have been happy if we had paid the full price. There were 3 of us so we had a family room which was comfortable and quiet but when... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from 20 May 2008 . It is situated in a quiet spot just outside Burley just on the Western edge of the New Forest. It is an extended gentleman's house. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable, but being on the ground floor there was... more

Got a very last minute deal for the Feb half term. Just me and the children went (they are age 8&9). Did 2 nights with a rate of £149 for the 3 of us and we stayed in a four poster room with sofa bed. The deal was half board, however you do have to pay extra for the children's... more

We had our wedding reception at Moorhill House Hotel 10 years ago and decided to take a trip back there for our anniversary. Everything was perfect, the staff were friendly and professional and although they were very busy, nothing was a problem and they dealt with all of our requests with a smile. Our room was a four poster in... more

we arrived with our 2 year old and check in was smooth. Then the issues started... The family room was large but was something from the 1980's. All flowers and water leakage stains on the ceiling. And it was freezing. (They did bring a heater up for us) The bunkbeds where the same as we see in our caving hut... more

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as was attending a wedding. Check in seemed to be smooth and quick. There are lots of stairs in the hotel to the rooms with no apparent lift so not great if you find it difficult to get up stairs. We had booked DBB for the first night and BB for the... more
