We had a couple of days in the new forest, and booked the Burwood Lodge, as it had some good reviews. We were astonished to find ourselves in a very spacious room downstairs, opening on to the very pretty garden, which was also for guest use. This was a very nice short stay;- the room was lovely, the facilities fine,... More

Betty and Tim were very friendly and welcoming. I e mailed ahead a dietary requirement that despite the fact that the Lodge was fully booked and busy Betty catered for. Thank you. The room was comfortable the breakfasts sumptuous and the location very convenient for the New Forest and the cycling that we went there for. We could store our... More

Nice B&B in a nice town in the New Forest. 5 minute walk to the High Street with plenty of pubs and restaurants. Off road parking is in the front of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, good portions and good choice; service was fast, efficient and pleasant. Coffee and Tea making facilities in room were ample and useful. Downsides? The... More

We were three adults staying for 2 nights. It was easy to find, conveniently located and was a lovely cottage. Our room was spacious and the décor was elegant and peaceful. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was sumptuous and very delicious. The lounge and garden were lovely and we played some snooker and badminton. The shower had a... More

The Sat nav had a few issues finding it to begin with but we got there. the parking was tight but Betty had stayed up late just to wait for us. Room was small but spotlessly clean and all we needed. The bathroom was lovely and the bath was huge and very modern, however it took 1/2 an hour to... More

Stayed for 1 night with my family of 5. We were really impressed with the room and the breakfast was the best we have had so far. Kids liked the garden with waterproof table tennis paddles. Originally I had not wanted to stay in Lyndhurst but really glad we did.

Stayed as a party of adults for a New Year break. Location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Lyndhurst town centre and with ample off-road parking. Our room was a good size and comfortable. Betty was very hospitable and provided useful suggestions on places to visit and pubs to try. Breakfast was substantial and well-prepared, setting us up well... More

A run of the mill UK B& B, needs better upkeep to warrant "super" status. Breakfast was cold, friendly enough owners but do shop around before you book this place. You probably get a modern full facilities hotel for cheaper.
