The location of hotel is ideal, just as you enter Lyndhurst, and a 5 min walk to the village. Hotel is very comfortable, with restaurent & Bar area. Ground floor room at back of hotel but overlooking the grounds so nice and quiet. Had to book to eat in restaurent which I thought a little strange as we were guests,... More

We booked this last minute and we were very happy with the experience. Jane is very welcoming and helpful. The room was nice, very large although very basic facilities. Location is great, we were just moments from the high street which has many different restaurants to choose from. We tried the Chinese which was very good. We also had lunch... More

Spacious room which was nicely laid out. The plug in the sink didn't work which was quite frustrating when having a morning wash. Although a bath is fitted, the taps didn't switch so it was only possible to shower and again the plug in the bath was broken. The food was nice but very expensive. There are other pubs and... More

My husband and I decided to go here to end a lovely anniversary weekend. We had to wait 10 minutes just to be seated although there were staff around walking straight passed us! We were asked if we wanted table or bar service, and chose table service. We had to wait another 15 minutes to be asked what we'd like... More

Hotel a very pleasant place to stay in a great. Due to a mistake by booking.com we were allocated a small room, but the staff at the hotel went out of there way to rectify this error and put us in a family room. It was great they understood are situation and the impact the smaller room would have had... More

This hotel is the worst we have stayed in.The hotel was dirty & grubby throughout. Our room had 2 single glassed windows the width of a pavement away from a major main room.NO SLEEP.We asked reception for sheets instead of duvets,we are told we don't do sheets. We then pointed out they already have bottom sheets, she finally relented. The restuarant tables were... We are local but we have never visited the White Rabbit. We are holidaying at home this year and decided to have a small bite of something on a walk. I ordered drinks and triple cooked chips and garlic cheese bread. We sat in the garden. The chips arrived quite promptly in a deep pot. The bread was nice but... More

I'm a regular reviewer and having just enjoyed a meal out at The White Rabbit in Lyndhurst, I was keen to share my experience. I should add that I didn't stay in the hotel but just had something to eat in the restaurant. Monday afternoon, so not busy, my family and I where seated at a table by the window... More

Popped in yesterday for food,we ordered the 'Cannon of beef' off the 1940s inspired menu at £18.50,so we were expecting a good portion size for the money.we both ordered rare so as very disappointed to get a over done piece of beef, which tasted disgusting along with the 'ale'infused mash, raw cabbage and leeks and a stone cold Lord woolton pie!!
