We stayed here for two nights and found it to be a perfect base for exploring Lyndhurst. It is only a five minute walk from the high street which has good pubs, restaurants (try the Thai) and a bicycle rental. Our room was surprisingly large, spotlessly clean and was fitted out to a good standard, including a comfy bed. Our... More

Despite arriving a little earlier than planned, when hosts Teresa and Mike were still having a bit of mid afternoon quiet time, we could not have been made more welcome. We had chosen a Superior double room, which was on the first floor and very spacious, very clean and comfortable. Perhaps the only snag is that it faces the busy... More

I was torn between giving 4 or 5 stars : 5* - lovely area, friendly hosts, very good breakfast, amazingly comfy bed, everything tastefully presented and spotlessly clean. 4* - some road noise which may affect light sleepers (few beers and that fantastic bed meant not a problem for us), room a bit small if you have suitcases. A very... More

It was a very enjoyable stay. The owners are very friendly, willing to help and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. Our room had a fridge which was useful. The lodge is on the open top bus route which is a good way to see the forest and not far from the town center.

I had been camping in the area but had been ill the night before, and decide on that day to look for a B&B for the night - Temple Lodge had a room available for a reasonable price. I was pleased to find, as a backpacker travelling by foot and bus, that it was just a short walk from the... More

I really enjoyed a long weekend at this place. The rooms are clean, light and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plenty, keeping me going for the long bike rides in the New Forest. Also, the service is really friendly. Bus stop is right outside the door.

Wonderful, relaxing stay at the Temple Lodge over the May bank holiday weekend. Most hotels don't cater for families with teenagers and an extra room usually means double the cost. We loved our room! Beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, spacious and very comfortable - the family room on the top floor was perfect for us in this regard. Our daughter had a... More

Stayed for two nights for a short break and had a fantastic time. Good central location giving good access to the forest and attractions. Mike & Teresa were both very friendly and serve an excellent breakfast. We will defiantly stay again if we return to the area. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Temple lodge for 3 nights .Both our host were very friendly and helpful . Our room was much larger than anticipated, it had a seating area and a very comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean , you also had Wi-Fi which was very handy. We had a lovely full breakfast each morning to set us up... More
