You cannot fail to be impressed when you pull up the driveway and see the hotel ahead, beautiful building in well kept extensive grounds. Inside the hotel is a little like stepping back in time but that really is part of the charm, the decoration and furnishings are very Victorian but personally I prefer this to standard, faceless modern boxes.... more

My husband and i stayed here for one night following a family party at the hotel. We had a huge room with a four poster bed and old fashioned furniture. The bathroom was lovely with a huge free standing bath. The hotel owners were really friendly. We really enjoyed our night at the property although the only negative was that... more

I can recommend a stay at Bramble Hill Hotel. The setting is very peaceful, fantastic grounds, lots of wildlife. We were made extremely welcome by the hosts. The hotel is unpretentious, don't go expecting modern decor and fittings. However, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The food was very good, home made soup, fresh game and fish featured on the... more

As my family come from the New Forest , I knew about this private and quiet country hotel. My wife and I stayed there for a short weekend break to get away from the City of London for a while. The hotel was exactly as charming as I had expected, standing in its own extensive grounds the views are superb,... more

My husband and I booked a room based on a friends recommendation last year. We live and work in London, and it was such a pleasure to have some piece and quiet! The food was delicious! I took a walk in the grounds the following morning and to my delight came across and Stag and his 3 Does! Relaxing by... more

Lovely old hunting lodge. A hotel full of character, in beautiful surroundings and run by a wonderful couple who made our stay a delight. The food was excellent. Thoroughly recommended. Look forward to a return visit. more

This hotel is situated in a really lovely location in the forest, the grounds are beautiful and full of wonderful mature rhododendrons and the building is beautiful on the outside. However, that’s really where the positives end. As you walk in the first thing you notice is the overpowering artificial scent of some lemon cleaner or possibly it is an... more

Nice building and surroundings but poor service. Over heard owners arguing, didn't sound a very pleasant couple and not very impressed. I found a dog hair in my soup, presumably from the owners dog that is left to roam freely around the hotel - what kind of zoo is this? more
