The hotel was very nice. The only problem was the very heavy traffic on the dual carriageway which is only a few yards from the hotel. There was "double glazing" but it didn't make any difference at all to the noise. Best to ask for a room at the back of the hotel which looks out across the New Forest... More

The twin room consisted of a double bed plus z bed/camp bed ie not a proper bed. It was incredibly uncomfortable. In addition, our ground floor bay-windowed room was right at the side of a dual carriageway so was extremely noisy. I will not be staying at that particular Travelodge and would not use Travelodge for a twin or family... More

This is right next to the main A31 dual carriageway, and so road side rooms will inevitably be prone to traffic noise. HOWEVER, the ground floor and first floor roadside rooms that I stayed in were EXCEPTIONALLY well sound proofed, and very clean and well maintained. You do need to remember that this is on the WEST bound carriageway, and... More

We got this room on a voucher discount via voucher cloud so for 2 nights, we paid under £65 which is really great. Good hotel, some tired features such as the bathroom but it didn't detract from our stay and the TV couldn't pick up the digital stations. Room really clean, clean linen and comfy beds Defo recommend to stay... More

Mouldy curtains and depressed looking building and surroundings. Obviously was wearing off on the staff. It is very much like a hostel... You spend the whole time thinking I paid this for.... This?! It wouldn't bode well as a first experience of a travel lodge. Luckily I have stayed in better ones.

Stoney Cross Travel Lodge is idealy placed when visiting the Forest with many places to visit a short drive away. A little further you have Bournmouthe Salisbury Southampton Winchester, in fact a whole host of attractions are less than an hours drive away, that is if you don;t mind driving.

On arrival reception desk was unmanned and it took a bit of searching in corridors to find a rather unhelpful member of staff (this stay was pre-booked). Got to room which was facing the busy A31 and sleep was quite disturbed because of traffic noise (Had asked for an alternative room but might as well have been speaking Swahili). A... More

We booked well in advance so paid £25.00 for a room. Room was OK, comfortable bed etc. Only minor complaint were the 'dog hairs' on the carpet, we only noticed the next morning. Not a big issue with us, but might have been had we an allergy. Avoid the adjacent Little Chef if possible.
