Compared to what the Swan used to be, and we have eaten there on several occasions in the past, we found it to be extremely expensive for the size and quality of meals. Drinks were also expensive - we paid £6.60 for two small soft drinks!!! Overall it was disappointing and I doubt we will go back again!

We pass The Swan every day on our commute to work but had not been in for some years. We recently visited and were very disappointed. We intended eating but the menu was very pricey for what appeared to be fairly standard pub fare and so we went elsewhere. Drinks again were expensive but nothing out the ordinary, e.g. the... More

Extremely unimpressed and disappointed by this pub. Drinks seemed very expensive indeed (nearly £20 for 2 ciders, 2 Oranginas and 1 Diet Coke!!). In addition, the bar staff didn't seem to have a clue what they had on offer in terms of choices of bottled drinks. The food was OK but presented in a way to try to emulate a... More

Currently sat in the garden of this pub waiting for food ordered well over an hour ago. Was told upon arrival that food would be a half hour wait which we were fine with, then when we went to order the wait had gone up to 45 minutes. A little excessive but fine, we weren't too hungry and it's a... More

What a lovely pub! The staff are friendly and happy to help and the owners are very welcoming. The pub has lots of outdoor seating space and there's a children's playground. It's such a warm pub and you can tell the food is freshly cooked there, I had lasagne (which I'm normally quite picky about in pubs) which was wonderful.... More

We drove past and after a quick TA check decided to stop for a mud week family lunch. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and quickly took our order and supplied a highchair. Our food arrived promptly, 2x sausage and mash and a burger from the kids menu, and lasagne and the pie of the day 'game'.

Various visits produced the best meals, we ever enjoyed in a pub. Their Pies are sensational !!! The deserts do not lack behind. Our server was Oli, who turned up at every serving to enquire how the food was. Great service, value for money and...what a good taste !! Highly recomended.

I took my 82 yr old Mother for a meal to celebrate Mothers Day. The table was ready, when we arrived. The service was very quick, our food arrived within 20 Minutes of being seated. Mum had delicious scampi, chips and salad. I had a gorgeouse nut roast, with all the normal roast trimmings. We were both given a small... More

Stumbled across this pub on a day out in the forest with our dog. We were made to feel very welcome, including tom the dog! We both ordered the lamb roast and I can honestly say that, second to my own, it was the tastiest roast I've eaten! Service was excellent and the pub and loos were spotless. We will... More
