We stopped at the Swan after driving past and noticing it said "dog friendly" on the sign out front,so turned round and stopped with our two boxers. We both enjoyed our meals and kudos for advertising dog friendly as it's awkward to stop at a pub and having to ask if it's ok for fear of being turned away. If... More

I stayed with my partner for a couple of days midweek. The area is beautiful, and the hotel is perfectly placed on the highstreet. A beautifully furbished building, we went for a four poster room which had a lovely bathroom and overlooked the courtyard. The room was lovely, clean and tot he standard expected from this hotel. Breakfast was very... More

Very disappointed with the food, of a very low standard, ask to speak to the manageress who was very short, and rude! Poor quality will not ever go back ! Not clean , carpet filthy in the lounge and carpet in the toilet area filthy ( why would you have a carpet in the toilet area) !

Good size garden with children's play area. Play area is away from main garden tables so those without children aren't bothered. Only downside is the busy road running past. Didn't eat but menu looked good and food arriving at fellow tables looked appetising. Indoors looked lovely and would love to return in winter as had great old English cosy pub... More

Went on a quiet Saturday lunchtime, at the beginning of the serving period when the pub was quiet. The pub was very clean and well presented and had a 'traditional feel', dogs are allowed in the bar area. The pub serves typical country pub food and has a selection of real ales and other drinks. The staff were friendly and... More

We stopped here for a late lunch. Served for drinks by a chap named Ollie, very happy and helpful but think he must have been new. We got a table outside and ordered from the menu, 2 x hunters chicken and a kids spaghetti Bolognese. Our food arrived quickly but I looked and the hunters and was instantly disappointed. It... More

We were heading in to Lyndhurst to walk around town and decided to stop here, as we’d never been in before, for a spot of lunch. The bar lady was very helpful and took the order quickly allowing us to go and sit in the garden on the hottest day so far. The only negative I have is the waiting... More

We went to the swan for lunch today, we sat in the garden which was very pleasant. We have been here before and had good food. I must say that we waited ages to get our food, the staff seemed to be trying really hard but there seemed to be no organisation, they did not know who to take food... More

My family and I have visited this pub a number of times over the last year or so and I must say since it was taken over by new people last autumn it has improved no end. A lot of the food is now home cooked and you can really tell the difference. Also little things like log fires and... More
