Went for lunch on Sunday, nice clean restaurant, nice feel, menu slightlty overpriced...I ordered the pie of the day which was chicken and leek (the only pie offered on the menu) and what came out did not involve chicken or leeks, only mushrooms and more mushrooms... No one came to check on us and I tried to mention it to... More

Booked a table for 8 but on arrival was told no booking received however not a problem plenty of tables available. We ordered drinks which arrived promptly however starters took approximately 40 minutes to arrive and on the whole were very good, the main meal took about another 30 minutes to arrive. The lamb was good but the roast beef... More

Called into this establishment on Thursday 5th September, at about 6.30 pm for supper. Called at the bar, picked up some soft drinks, asked if we could eat, the pub was very quite, " no problem, pick a table" and given menu's. Standard pub fair, and some specials on the board. No sooner had we sat down than a Boy... More

We stopped at the Swan after driving past and noticing it said "dog friendly" on the sign out front,so turned round and stopped with our two boxers. We both enjoyed our meals and kudos for advertising dog friendly as it's awkward to stop at a pub and having to ask if it's ok for fear of being turned away. If... More

I stayed with my partner for a couple of days midweek. The area is beautiful, and the hotel is perfectly placed on the highstreet. A beautifully furbished building, we went for a four poster room which had a lovely bathroom and overlooked the courtyard. The room was lovely, clean and tot he standard expected from this hotel. Breakfast was very... More

Good size garden with children's play area. Play area is away from main garden tables so those without children aren't bothered. Only downside is the busy road running past. Didn't eat but menu looked good and food arriving at fellow tables looked appetising. Indoors looked lovely and would love to return in winter as had great old English cosy pub... More

Went on a quiet Saturday lunchtime, at the beginning of the serving period when the pub was quiet. The pub was very clean and well presented and had a 'traditional feel', dogs are allowed in the bar area. The pub serves typical country pub food and has a selection of real ales and other drinks. The staff were friendly and... More
