Fairly typical small hotel based around the Pub and attached accomodation style. The rooms were clean and adequate, a little dated but ok. Service at check in was pretty slow but I think they were training new staff so not a big issue. It seemed that all surfaces in the place were sticky, the tables and bar were definatley not... More

Recently went to Ely for Sunday carvery. it was fairly busy but still the staff managed to find us a table. service was quick and efficient and the carvery was full of fresh veg and juicy beef and gammon good value for money in every aspect. Will be returning again soon.

We had Sunday lunch here, but were rather disappointed, as the carvery was very mediocre. The meat was dry and so were the potatoes, which were hard and tasteless. There were no Yorkshire puddings, but we were told that they would bring them to the table shortly. They finally arrived when we had finished our meals, so we were not... More

Don't ever stay in a room on the ground floor of this property unless you enjoy sleepless nights. You can hear every footstep of anybody above you, obviously money saved on construction but there is nothing that can now be done to improve the situation. It's a shame because everything else was ok plus the bonus of a bath.

Great place to stay,.. room was very comfortable and everything we needed. Staff in the Hotel, Bar and Restaurant were brilliant and friendly,.. Breakfast was amazing and meals in the Restaurant were not only of a high standard,... but also great value,... we will be back, again and again.

Would really struggle to find fault at all with this place. Check-in swift with very attentive staff. Room perfect size well maintained and clean, bed was amazing. Proper power shower. Meals in the adjoining pub plentyful reasonably priced and tasty. To be picky the only improvement would be to put plug sockets next to the bed and arm chair and... More

We happened upon this pub on a journey home, and managed to get a table at the bar on a sunday lunchtime as the restaurant was fully booked. The carvery option looked best as the tables were so full we thought it may take a while, and we were hungry straight away therefore this seemed the best option . The... More

We stayed at the Ely recently for the weekend and the staff were so friendly, and the pub so cosy with the open fires, we decided to cancel all our other bookings and eat in, which was a good idea as the food was really excellent! The manager is very on the ball and runs a tight ship which is... More

I took my children to the Halloween Party organised here last friday, they both had a great time! The decorations were brilliant, the entertainment (a Tick Tock disco) was first class and the sweet cones well received by the kids!! And all for a great price too 👍 Thanks to all at The Ely for another fab event, the function... More

Attended a Birthday Party and stayed the night. The room was pleasent and roomy with a large comfortable bed. However the bathroom was small and cramped. The cost was excellent value for money and the full English Breakfast was adequate.
