Me and my wife stayed here recently and thouroughly enjoyed the experience. The room was spacious and clean, with everything you could wish for including one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in for quite a while. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food in the restaurant was enjoyable. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with everybody... more

I stayed here for one night with a friend and got a great deal of £50 for a double. The room was spacious, clean, modern and extremely comfortable. The hotel was a bit hard to find, so I phoned reception and the lady was very helpful and not the least put out to help, which staff at other hotels sometimes... more

We have tried other hotels in the area but the Ely looked so lovely from the outside we decided to give it a go. Before you read on, please note that I love staying in hotels and normally look for the... more

Stayed here for 2 nights room only. The room was basic but nice, clean and fairly big. The accomodation is behind the pub but it was not noisy at all. We ate dinner in the pub one night and the food was lovely but I found it very smoky (this was pre-smoking ban). When it came to checking out we... more

Its OK. Really, thats it, no better, no worse. Staff are really friendly and helpful, rooms are fairly clean. Bit basic, but its all that you need. The evening food in the ajoining pub is very nice, however the breakfast is to be avoided: While it may be on the menu, there's no garuantee that they'll have it in, or... more

I have found the staff to be always helpfull when asked for anything the rooms are about average for this type of hotel/motel tea making facilities etc. The meals in the attached restaurant are excellent and with a good range.
