I had my 50th birthday party here which was full fancy dress. Before the event I was kept fully informed of arrangements and details and felt confident from the start I was in good hands. On the night we had a super team (Johnny, Kyle & Jackie) who were fabulous & really entered into the spirit of things. Johnny oversaw... More

It's the perfect place to stay if you've got a wedding nearby. A whole bunch of us booked rooms at different points right up until the wedding weekend and Leigh was super helpful in making sure we were all together! Big thanks goes to Mark in the bar who was serving us drinks right up until his shift finished at... More

Lovely hotel. Currently going through refurb but workmen very respectful and not really any noise -they even offered to help with our bags! Room was clean and a good size (plenty of space for our travel cot and lots of toys) -bathroom immaculate also. Staff were very polite and helpful. Only downsides for us were the restaurant was expensive and... More

Stayed here on a business trip for 2 nights. The room I had looked like it had been refurbished recently and was quite nice in comparison to the last time I stayed. The only issue I had with the room was the noise from outside as the window was only single glazed. The restaurant is great for dinner but actually... More

Dear Ronan Thank you for your review. I appreciate your comments about the property getting better. We have indeed started room refurbishments. Our new breakfast spec only launched this week so you may have missed that which I am sure will satisfy you next time if we see you again ! Simon More

Compared to what their website suggests, this hotel is only adequate. We stayed here for two nights to attend a local wedding. Outside lighting is minimal, and it was difficult to find the entrance from the road...why not have a lit sign showing the hotel...if someone is following you, it is a sudden dangerous right turn. The main parking lot... More

Dear Rosedale Thank you for your review. We do indeed get very busy and are a very popular venue... I can not therefore apologise for being busy. I am concerned that you found are entrance lighting poor as our signposts have recently both had lights installed upon them ... I will double check the timer to make sure all is... More

We stayed here for a wedding in the local area. The hotel is very dated and the room was like something from faulty towers. The room was at a rate of £75 and I have stayed in better travel lodges at lower rates than this hotel. It has a marco Pierre restaurant which screams it will be a good hotel... More

Dear Arnie Thank you for your review ... I note your comment about some of the rooms. I am delighted to note here that the bedroom refurbishment has already started and I am conscious that some of your party had some of our fantastic new rooms that they raved about ! Do come again and see how we are getting... More

We held our wedding here on 4th October and it was completely fantastic. The hotel is being updated, but the bridal suite has been completed and it is amazing, I didn't want to leave the bed! A couple of guests mentioned their rooms were still quite old fashioned and required updating but even they were more than happy with the... More

We have just enjoyed a long week-end here and it was fantastic. We stayed in the Bridal Suite which has just been re-furbished. The decor in the Suite was fresh, modern and homely - all at the same time. The en-suite was beautifully done and the bath was a lovely luxury with water jets. Simon Drake (General Manager) and his... More

Only stayed for one night. Pleased with the ample car parking facilities the hotel had. The hotel entrance is a bit tatty and could be improved for first impressions. Reception and hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Room was nice, clean and comfortable but was most impressed with the bathroom, I think they have bee recently updated. Beautifully done... having just returned from a stay at the casa hotel I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the food and the staff. The hotel was clean, the staff were second to none, they were friendly and very efficient. Dinner in the restaurant was a joy. The food was exceedingly good, and to a foodie like myself was... More
