Enjoyed a visit to this great little pub while on a day out. Food was very good, creative and well presented. Service was slightly haphazard but friendly. The lamb dish was a particular highlight. Interiors are very nice and there is a nice terrace out the back, although it started to rain while we were there and had to go... More

Stayed two nights here, nice clean and comfortable rooms, really great staff but, several negative details were noted. There was no wardrobe, just a hook on the wall and 2 hangers, the main ventilation system, about 18" diameter and noisy between 08.00 and 23.00 blocked the view out, no holder for toothbrush, unfinished décor, toilet lid would not stay up,... We stayed here in early July. Location on the High Street in Stockbridge is excellent & the rear car park makes parking easy. On arrival the welcome was warm & friendly. The staff showed us to our room & then asked if we wanted her to bring us up any drinks from the bar. A nice touch I thought. I... More

We had very good lunch here - lovely food - take care portions are large and I ran out of steam which was a shame as I would have liked to try the desert/cheese! Inventive and varied menu so you can mix and match small or large starters. Good list of wines by the glass - but recommend the Prosecco.... More

went out for the first time in 4months without my children and had friend with a friend. We wanted to book into the pizza place but it was closed. i loved the greyhound before it was renovated but always felt the staff were unfriendly and snooty. It's even worse now, I would be embarrassed to go back! we stood at... More

We stopped at the Greyhound for a coffee a couple of weeks ago and were impressed so tried it for lunch today and were very pleased we did. I had dressed crab and chips which was delicious, my wife had smoked trout, trout mousse and prawn toasts with salad. Both were excellent. I then had the Hampshire cheese board with... More

The Greyhound is as good this year as we left it last year! Food and ambience are excellent. There is work going on outside that will provide a really nice spot to eat on the banks of the Test. More rooms will come 'on stream' later on. A great place about to become better!

My son and partner had stayed at the hotel the night before with their dog and booked a table for us to join them the next day for Sunday lunch. They chose this hotel specifically as it was referred to as dog friendly. On arrival, we were told that the table reserved was in the restaurant where dogs were not... More

I would like to apologise for an experience with us that you were so unhappy with. Our dog policy is, no dogs allowed in the restaurant but are allowed in all other areas of the pub including bedrooms. With this in mind and the number of bookings we had on Sunday lunch we made an exception and allowed yourself and... More

Now, I have been here a number of times and i must say you are never quite sure which Greyhound you are going to get. I have had lunches there which have been fine and suppers which have been poor. The latest was last week and it is very mediocre. The service was slightly uninformed as to what came with... More
