Stayed for one night for my husband's birthday. Delicious dinner (although salmon starter portion very small) and good wine list. Breakfast was also good. We stayed in Room 3 in the refurbished cottage next door. Loved the décor; comfortable super king bed (bottom sheet wasn't big enough though and kept untucking itself!); bathroom well equipped. Think it could be hot... More

Stayed in room 7 at the back or the pub , so it was nice and quiet with a superking size bed which was lovely and comfortable with lovely quality bedding. Plenty of tea and coffee and water . Bathroom a bit of a squeeze but with a walk in shower and a bath it was fine. I liked the... More

APPALLING RIP OFF and SERVICE. When we arrived at 12.45 for lunch we were told that there were no free tables available because everything was booked. However, we were offered 2 seats at the bar or an alcove with 2 small stools and a minute table - and I mean minute!. We opted for the alcove as we believed this... More

It's a shame because its a great location that could be very good. The food wasn't good, I had the Burger that was cold, tasteless and expensive. £15.95 for a burger is ridiculous, especially if they come with uncooked chips. We asked for some mayonnaise and they said they have run out. What pub ever runs out of a simple... More

Had a great stay at the Greyhound. Not the first time we've stayed, and certainly not the last. The place has a really warm and friendly atmosphere, nothing is a problem. We had booked dinner for eight of us and it was first class. The rooms were cosy with a contemporary, country feel. Breakfast was a treat of locally sourced... More

The food was cold I could hear the chefs arguing in the kitchen the portions are small I definitely would not come here again. The wine was not to standard the staff were talking and not paying attention. Some staff not well trained dropped food kept waiting for drinks and served wrong food not a good experience.

Hubby and I enjoyed a relaxing drink in the extremely lovely and well cared for garden. Such a pleasant and friendly place to visit. Can't comment on the food as we didn't try it but have had people recommend we visit recently and it's definitely on our list to try!

We had our wedding reception at The Greyhound, and then stayed there for our one year wedding anniversary; both events were exceptional! Each time the environment was friendly, relaxed and so helpful. The quality of the food was a talking point for wedding guests for weeks after the event. As well as the lovely pub itself you have beautiful Stockbridge... More

Went to the Greyhound for breakfast ahead of a day's fishing with a group on the basis of multiple recommendations. Good food but it was over an hour before we could leave. Staff were perfectly accommodating, but service was terribly slow despite only having three tables to serve. In addition, I have subsequently seen that we were all charged for... More
