We had lunch here to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary and were very pleased, as usual, with the quality of the food, the service and the ambiance of the restaurant. We have used this restaurant several times and have held a party with friends and family when celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and have never been disappointed with the experience.... More

We tried the set menu when we dined here on Wednesday this week. The food was fresh, well cooked and presented, and good value for money. The staff were attentive and friendly, contributing to the very relaxed atmosphere of the place, which has a long history. When we visit Romsey in the near future we shall certainly have lunch here... More

We stayed here because my friends were having their wedding at this venue. The rooms are priced accordingly (£125 a night for a double occupancy room) and they are not worth the money. The staff were not particularly welcoming (not rude, but not friendly either), despite the booking being for two people we had to ask for more towels as... More

Friendly staff, comfortable room and a very nice afternoon tea. Didn't eat at the restaurant but it appeared to be nice. In the centre of Romsey, nice pubs and restaurants nearby - parking is at the public car-park a short walk away behind the hotel.

After opening an office in Romsey and discovering this place we were looking forward to staying there. Unfortunately the room had some cobwebs (why don't cleaners look up?) and there was no hot water. The staff were VERY good and within minutes there was someone with a duster in hand and the hot water was restored very soon after. The... More

Lunched here with a table of four on a Wednesday. We ate inside the smart brassiere and thoroughly enjoyed our Rack of Lamb. With a nice bottle of wine, a memorable meal and at a very reasonable price. Service could not have been better. Would thoroughly recommend.

The White Horse Hotel is a characterful coaching inn in a town replete with history and charm so it would be surprising if the hotel side of the business failed to please. And so I found, though my room was somewhat on the cramped side, the lighting was poor and the walls were thin enough for me to hear my... More

Myself and a colleague had the 3 course set menu, it was delicious and the portions were just the right size so I still had room for pudding. The only thing missing was someone at reception to greet us, but we quickly found a lovely member of staff outside who was only too happy to help.
