It was a pleasure to stay here. Very clean and comfortable. Nice full English breakfast. Just steps from center of town. Owner and staff are welcoming and anxious to please. I'd definitely stay here again!

The Star in Romsey is a friendly and welcoming pub, the landlady (Sharon) made us very welcome. The room that we stayed in had all the facilities required and was large, clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet for a pub but noise from the pub would be audible (if you wanted to get an early night). Breakfast was... More

Stayed at beginning of October. The bar had a group on and the room was rocking. At midnight we had enough and went and spoke to owner who stopped the noise. The place was dirty and the shared bathroom was not nice. It's cheap if all you want is a bed and a pint. Never again. Sorry.

Stayed for one night, 29/9/2014. Good, welcoming reception. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Easy, short stroll to town centre for evening restaurants. No hotel car park but ample secure parking nearby. Excellent breakfast. Would stay here again.

We were visiting Paulton's Park & Peppa Pig world and needed somewhere to stay for one night. Room 3 was perfect; a comfortably furnished large family room, sleeping 6, just what we were looking for with 3 young children under 7. The room overlooked the street but there was very little traffic. English cooked breakfast was excellent and served in... More

If Dogs could type; Sharon, Thank you for making my stay at The Star Inn an experience to be remembered. You welcomed me, fed me, walked me and dog sat me!! Your local punters were friendly, decent and interested in me too. My owners seemed to enjoy themselves well engaging with the locals and enjoying the developing acoustic music scene.... More

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at The Star Inn. The room was very large with everything we needed. Sharon, the owner, was very welcoming and served the most wonderful full English breakfast. She even provided the fried bread I had wanted to try but had been unable to find. One afternoon when she heard that we... More
