I was working nearby for a couple of days and just needed somewhere to sleep. The room was large and clean and the full english breakfast was good. All in all good value for money. One word of warning - I arrived to discover there was a band playing. They stopped at midnight and then the juke box went on.... More

Nice clean room. Good shower. Great breakfast. Great location for sightseeing, as is in Romsey near the Abbey.Staffare professional and helpful. Bar was a bit noisy but was expected as rooms are over the bar.

If you are looking for an "Out of the way" place to stay, then The Star Inn in Romsey is ideal. This is a lovely, old Inn situated in a beautiful area. The personnel was extremely friendly and we had a lovely, spacious room. The town has the most beautiful Abbey dating back to 900 bC. What a joy it... More

Greeted by the lovely smile and warm welcome of the landlady and staff, the room was clean and tidy. After a night out we returned to find a band playing some great music. The breakfast was ausome and filling ready for our trip home. I will be back

The Star in Romsey is a friendly and welcoming pub, the landlady (Sharon) made us very welcome. The room that we stayed in had all the facilities required and was large, clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet for a pub but noise from the pub would be audible (if you wanted to get an early night). Breakfast was... More

Stayed at beginning of October. The bar had a group on and the room was rocking. At midnight we had enough and went and spoke to owner who stopped the noise. The place was dirty and the shared bathroom was not nice. It's cheap if all you want is a bed and a pint. Never again. Sorry.

Stayed for one night, 29/9/2014. Good, welcoming reception. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Easy, short stroll to town centre for evening restaurants. No hotel car park but ample secure parking nearby. Excellent breakfast. Would stay here again.
