We are so pleased we chose this b and b. The room was lovely and the hosts Carol and Richard were great, just the right balance friendly and helpful but not pushy. The automatic gates are a security feature and everything felt safe. We stayed in the double room with ensuite which was perfect. The dining room was just next... More

My wife, Alfie (our little Shih Tzu) and I stayed at the delightful Magnolia Cottage for two nights whilst visiting relations nearby. The accommodation was perfect. It was spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming and tastefully furnished. Accessed was via automatic security gates (very nice) and there was ample parking. Our dog enjoyed the expanse of a lovely garden, amply lit by... More

Am working in the vicinity during the week, going back home at weekends. Magnolia Cottage, a self-contained unit in the grounds of Camellia Lodge, is just perfect for me. Bedroom, separate sitting room and a well equipped kitchen. It's more than I could have hoped and makes the drudgery of being away from home just that bit more bearable. It's... More

Booked this place via website. Got a message that states: "Booking Successful! We will reply within 24 hours" Then get told next day that room is not available! Poor show. Suggest their website is updated to state "Booking Requested! We will confirm either way within 24 hours"

We have stayed here twice, 2012 and 2013 and we plan on staying again in 2014. Beautiful accommodation. Very clean and bright, secluded , Carol and Richard excellent hosts. Lovely area to visit, plenty of wildlife, stunning countryside. If you have not been to the New Forrest before, book a week at Magnolia Cottage, you will not be disappointed.
