I think the people who left bad reviews are the type that cannot be pleased. Ranvilles is wonderful. My family and I stayed for two nights on a trip to Peppa Pig world (it's only 5 mins down the road). Anthea accommodated us at the last minute and was very friendly and flexible. She didn't even bat and eyelid when... More

We stayed for a week in the family room. Friendly and welcoming, clean and tidy. Yes things aren't straight or even, but neither would I be at 500 years old. Loved the beams and elegant furniture in the room we were in. Good food and hospitality with a large variety at breakfast, nothing was too much. Very quiet location, with... More

We stayed for one night in the family room after a visit to peppa pig world. The room was lovely; the house is very old with floors and walls that are far from straight and the decor and furnishing reflect this; faded but elegant I would say rather than as other reviewers have done. Our young sons slept really well... More

Stayed for three nights. Room was very tired, damp on walls, paint work chipped and grubby, carpet stained. The en-suite was very dated, the bath was chipped and painted over. The paint was peeling on the walls. There was no lock on the door only a bolt on the inside so you couldn't leave any valuables in the room. Also... More

We stayed at Ranvilles for the second time August bank holiday weekend. Like the first time, Anthea was very welcoming and we had a lovely stay. We had a room upstairs with our daughter and my in laws had a huge room downstairs with a huge bathroom too (I had requested a ground floor room for them). Breakfasts were plentiful... More

Having read the various reviews we decided to be as friendly over the phone to Anthea as we could. No point in raising hackles needlessly. The place sounded like Fawlty Towers, and she the female Basil. She wasn't. We were delayed horrendously by traffic on the M3 going down for a 2pm wedding in Romsey Abbey so didn't make our... More

Absolutely beautiful farmhouse with superb grounds. Perfectly adequate accommodation if you are seeking out a basic B&B (absolutely not 5 star by any normal persons definition). The room we stayed in could not have been more out of character from the house itself. Small room with no way of securing (internal bolt only). Room was very tired with budget sanitary... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Ranvilles Farmhouse. It was just what we were looking for, a beautiful Farmhouse with lovely surroundings. The feel of the B&B was very relaxed and the owner Anthea made us feel welcome and at home. The breakfast was lovely and our 2 children were well catered for. We stayed in the Family room which... Couldn't believe how gorgeous Ranvilles was when we drove up, the pictures don't do it justice. We were met at the door by Anthea and her dogs and taken to our wonderfully large room. It was was home from home, with a gorgeous little en suite. Anthea apologised for the smallness of the en suite, we had no problem with... More

We had a really lovely stay at this B & B with my husband and daughter. We stayed just one night as we was visiting the nearby Peppa Pig World. We originally booked the family room and on the way there we was upgraded to an Annex House which was a fantastic surprise. We was able to arrive whenever we... More
