Would have rated it higher but the staff appear to not know where the rooms are , was sent up the main stair case only to find out my room was across the yard. Not my cup of tea to walk across to eat or visit the bar and yes it was raining ?? I would stay again but in... More

Very good NYE venue, Great Staff at both the hotel and the NYE Party. Food at NYE Party was excellent. DJ lost the plot a little with his music selection especially at 12.00 Midnight. I also thought the Live Band were a little to Rock orientated for the audience attending the NYE Party.

An interesting spot for an overnight stay and a bit different from the characterless chain hotels. I stayed in one of the bedrooms in the "Court" annex which is a short walk away from the main house. Not a problem but if you don't like a walk on a cold windy and wet evening it may not be the room... More

This hotel is a gem. Stayed here yesterday overnight in what is an absolutely beautiful location and stylish hotel. The hotel room we had was warm comfortable and stylish. The organisation around the wedding seemed seemless and the food was top notch. It was also very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. The only fault was the cleaning staff who woke us... More

We booked places at the New Years evening party, organised at The Elvetham Hotel and we loved it! Upon arrival your get greeted with a glass of Champagne and there are waiters/waitresses walking around with canapés. A photographer in the hall for official photos. Then into the area especially set up for the party. Lots of tables, very nicely laid... More

Elvetham hall is a beautiful and impeccably maintained country house hotel. It is for the discerning clientele. It is mentioned in the Domesday book and was at one time (1426) became the home of the Seymour family and was passed down through a succession of Seymours including Edward, the brother of Jane Seymour (third wife of Henry VIII and mother... Now been to a few events at this unique hotel. Once a family home, it retains much of its original charm. There is a choice of dining rooms, large and small all with their own character and charm. Most recent visit was just before Christmas in the library room with some 80 people from the local Rotary Club. Superb dinner... More

I checked in for two nights to attend a wedding. Very impressed from the first, as the decorations were very sophisticatedly Christmassy without being overdone. My single room, down a long, winding corridor, in the high-Victorian building that replaced the 1400 original burnt down in 1860, was compact but with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a very comfortable bed... We stayed here late summer for a few days whilst our house was being remodled. We had ajoining rooms with us and the kids and they were super for only £115 a room including a great breakfast. We ate a couple of times in the evening, not only was it realy good but it was for nothing at £20. Grounds... More
