After being impressed by the sumptuous grounds and the house itself the meal was somewhat disappointing. There is a lot of fabulously interesting history attached to the house and the decor reflects that.

Amazing hotel...was there for a wedding...what a fantastic place to host a special event. Only downside was room was a treck to get to...up stairs etc....but this is minor given the age of the building ..it should be expected!!!!

An absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds, perfect for a wedding or other special occasion. So good it may even justify the adverse comments I feel I have to make. Beware the location of your room. If you are in the main house great (although there is no lift) but you could be in a separate building (only about 200 yards... More

I arranged for my parents now in ear 80's to spend a night at this hotel while attending a corporate function there. They had the best time and said it was one of the best aces they have stayed. The food was fantastic-an evening bbq. Breakfast was amazing. The grounds are breathtaking. Fantastic. Tabs to the hotel and staff for... More

The whole experience is good. Grounds fantastic. Staff excellent, nothing too much trouble. Room clean, good wifi reception everywhere. The only minor negative...charged £8.30 for two lime and sodas! Watch the soft drinks at the bar. (Steve Rowley)

The Elvetham is an incredibly stunning hotel, the building is beautifully set within expansive grounds and is full of history, character and charm. We booked The Elvetham on an exclusive basis for our wedding reception and this was without doubt one of the best decision we had made. The Elvetham specializes in catering for weddings, conferences and events - so this... I have just returned from a two say stay at the Elvetham. This is a beautiful country Manor House hotel, with massive manicured gardens. The hotel has some truly impressive gothic architecture and fantastic stained glass windows, but has not succumbed to any form of pretentiousness. The staff are all pleasant and helpful, and the lunch was served school canteen... More

First Impressions: Be sure to take your sat Nav to find this one. Even the taxi driver had doubts as he entered thick mists and narrower and narrower roads through winding hillocks to find this hotel. He was visibly relieved and happy to leave me at the great arched entrance of the Elvetham. I walked in and went straight passed... More

Have just been at the Elvetham hotel on business - and what a place! It's a 1500 century castle (?), with all all the decorations, flowers, own church and castle garden you can imagine - fantastic scenery! The kitchen, staff, meeting rooms are fine and all what one might expect - and all that just enhances the experience when the... More

I stayed with my husband after a wedding. The room was a good size and had a huge TV (not that we watched it). They are modern yet traditionally decorated a feature tea & coffee. We werentin the room itself very long. The breakfast in the morning is great, all the usual suspects, full English, cereals, fruit, breads, pastries, yoghurt... More
