This hotel is absolutely breathtaking from the outside and on arrival you cannot fail but to be impressed. The public areas of the hotel are also gorgeous and very luxurious. I was however very disappointed when I got to my room as it did not match the grandeur of the house. This may have been due to the fact that... more

I was in an annexe across from this imposing country house, and had it been raining, I'd have got pretty wet as the car park is about 250m away, and it's open space to get to the annexe. The room was small with a tiny bathroom and small "double" bed, but really soft comfortable pillows. Only around 8 tv stations,... more

The main house is really beautiful from the outside and spacious and airy inside with a warm and welcoming feel. There are plenty of interesting features - the large stained glass window on the stairway, the 'history ceiling' in the bar area - and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Our room wasn't the best in the house (hence... more

We booked a room late for wedding we were attending close by. The reception explained to me at point of booking that we wouldnt be able to access the main house and bar etc due to another wedding party, but they could accomodate us in the courtyard rooms. This suited us as we were going to be elsewhere that evening.... more

I have worked in this area of Hampshire for many years and stumbled on this great hotel. It is hugely popular so book well in advance to avoid being disappointed. Everything about this wonderful place oozes class. From the moment you drive through the private gates and pass the exceptionally well kept grounds and to the first moment you see... more

Stayed here for a wedding. Room we stayed in (211) was lovely, modern bathroom, flat panel tv, separate room to the main bedroom which one of my kids slept in . breakfast was good too, the grounds lovely . Some other guests said their rooms not so good , so i guess the quality varies room to room. Staff friendly. more

I stayed at this Hotel for a friends wedding and overall had a very pleasant experience. Pre-stay communication was great, with prompt reply to my emails. When I enquired about check in I was told I could check in as early as we liked as the room had not been used the night before. We checked in, the receptionist called... more

Lovely grounds, impressive approach up the driveway, grand entrance and reception area, thought I was somewhere really special until I got to the corridor to the room and then the room itself. Not that there was anything bad about them (apart from the shabby carpet in the corridor) but room very small and overlooked a delivery door and some bins.... more

I have to echo many of the comments here - great and impeccably maintained public areas and gardens, really helpful staff, food was good - both breakfast and evening meal. I think that once you get beyond the bedroom door is where the variable reviews start. My room was in the main building, and was large, with a flat screen... more
