We stayed here after my Birthday party on 16 Aug 2014 and had a great night's sleepy. Comfortable room with everything we wanted. Want to come again. The staff were very helpful and The Moldy Fig a great party venue.

Stayed here mid July for 2 nights as my daughter was having her wedding reception here. I cannot express how wonderful everyone was from Lynne the event organiser, to all the staff who did the preparation for the reception, not to mention Sue who went out of her way to make sure the room for grandad was adequate for his... Only stayed here over night as all my usual haunts in Southampton were full so the Ellington was a delightful surprise. Expected Travel Lodge standard and to be fair the standard room on the first floor wasn't much bigger than that chain, but the bed was very comfy, the aircon worked and the place was spotless. All rooms have a... More

We booked this as a DBB package. There was live Jazz from the Dave Lewin Trio during the evening meal which was great. The food was good - some dishes better than others as is often the case. We stayed in an Executive Garden room at the adjoining Ellington Lodge which is their top graded room. It was lovely to... More

Ive stayed at this hotel many times over the last 6 years, the staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The beds are soooo comfy. Rooms are air conditioned. Food in the mouldy fig restaurant is really nice home cooked food. Breakfast is also cooked to order and is really nice. Well... More

Just a one night stay here on the evening of my daughters wedding. The room was very nice as were all the staff. Even though I lived nearby for years and visited the Concorde club I had never taken much notice of the hotel, the grounds in which it sits is lovely, with plenty of trees and a river. Breakfast... We went to a family reunion in Chandlers Ford on Saturday the 21st of June 2014 which was a great day out meeting up with so many. We stayed overnight just down the road in Eastleigh, we stayed at the Ellington Lodge at the Concorde we had two doubles which were a little on the small side but for £79... More

The hotel grounds are lovely but the room was quite dated. The walls in room 118 was very scuffed and when I went to use the hair dryer it stopped working. I called reception and was told no spares available. I had to drive to asda and buy one. Bed very hard and lumpy. Breakfast lovely.

My wife and I used this hotel as we had a morning flight from Southampton, and it is convenient for the airport. We had a double room on the ground floor which was comfortable and had everything we needed - principal requirements being a hot shower and tea-making facilities. We enjoyed the jazz bar and the other bar where a... More

All I can say is avoid this hotel like the plague. I have just experienced a really upsetting stay due to the management of this hotel. My husband and I are old age pensioners and I am deaf. We had an accident with the bath overflowing. When we informed the staff the duty manager came running up and agressively said,... More

Whilst this review does say the bath overflowed no explanation was given as to why or the extent. It also does not mention it was an upstairs room and the overflowing only came to light as a result of water flooding into the room below. Fortunately the room was occupied and it was the occupant that raised the alarm. The... More
