After much struggle to find a hotel / B&B with room near the Thruxton race circuit to accommodate our family (2 adults, 2 young children, 1 infant) for less than GBP 150 we found the White Hart Inn which offered a family room for GBP 89 per night/per room. We stayed for two nights and found the hotel to be... more

Interesting story. Booked this hotel for a late arrival with my colleagues for Thursday 8th October 2009. We arrived into Heathrow at 10.30pm, by the time we got to the White Hart in Andover it was around midnight. The Hotel was shut, dark and devoid of any life. Apart from the Kebab shop opposite which was open, everything was closed.... more

At about 8pm, after a long day sightseeing, we were despairing of finding accommodation when we chanced upon the White Hart and what a little gem it is. Although the hotel's family rooms were fully booked, the hotel staff offered us the option of a mattress on the floor for our 6 year old and we happily accepted (we almost... more

I stayed here for one week for business. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and clean, although I experienced some minor problems. The shower was cold and the kettle was broken. Also, the tv unexpectedly turned on automatically at 6.30am on the first day as it was set up as an alarm clock, presumably by a previous guest. Despite all... more

I stay in Andover regularly for work. The White Hart is pretty decent, has been done up recently and I prefer it to the Danebury. The breakfast is edible, but thats the only thing going for it. The beds are comfortable. There is one room that should be avoided at all costs. It is above the kitchen - noisy and... more

Rooms have recently been refurbished to a tasteful and comfortable standard with nice bathrooms and quality toiletries. The White Hart is a character inn and very convenient for the town centre, theatre etc. The staff were very polite and helpful. Tasty breakfast cooked to order completed a very good overnight stay and I would definitely return. more

Everything about this place is wrong. I have never stayed in a hotel with laminate flooring in the rooms, but i guess it's what they call 'wipe clean'. I sat on the edge of the bed (room 28) only to have a matress spring stick through the mattress and into my leg. Thankfully after mopping up the blood i was... more

Previous previews made me worry but I liked the White Hart from the moment the taxi pulled up outside. Fast and friendly check-in and a very comfortable room. OK everything is getting a bit old and in the next couple of years they will need to modernise but it was good value for money. Choice of food in the bar... more

The room was modern and comfortable, the foreign staff are very pleasant. The corridors are like the crystal maze, poorly lit and smell of rotten infectred carpet. The food is frozen to quick fried more
