What can I say! Not what I would expect from a well known branded hotel. I booked the hotel as the central booking office informed us that it had a large car park that we could fit our 4x4 and 11meter trailer into. In fact it has a small car park and I was forced to park our vehicle in... More

I needed somewhere to overnight in this area and was cautious about booking this Travelodge having read some of the reviews. However, I need not have been concerned as it turned out to be better than expected! I was greeted with a smile and friendly welcome by the young man on reception who was helpful and efficient in booking me... More

Ask for a room at the back, away from the road traffic noise. Make sure you get comfortable beds. If eating at the Little Chef make sure you get 10% discount by showing your key. These rooms need a fan or air conditioning in Summer.

Given some of the reviews here, I do wonder if some folks expect to pay £19 but get the Ritz. Better than many travelodges we have stayed in. New beds installed (great improvement, though the duvets are still way too thick and unsuitable for Summer use.) Room was clean, although the furniture was a bit worn as it often is... More

The room was shabby and dirty, the bathroom was disgustingly dirty and smelt of urine, the bedroom furniture did not exist and the bed sheet over the mattress had not been changed. The staff including the manager need re-training

The first time we've stayed in this particular travelodge. It looks a bit tired but speaking to the staff they are going to be one of the last ones to recieve the full refurbishment to bring them up to date though. We didn't feel it really mattered. It was easy to find and access from both sides of the A303... More

We needed an overnight stop near a wedding we were attending that left us well placed to travel back to Exeter. This place was cheap and available. You obviously don't expect much from a travelodge, but this one was a particularly bad example. Both the bathroom and the room itself were very "tired", slightly dusty on top of the wooden... More

Its a Travelodge so you can't expect 5* service. However, the receptionist was helpful, the room was clean and the bed very comfy. Extra beds had been put in and made up ( a first in our experience). The little chef next door wasnt great, but is convenient. We were visiting Winchester and found the location an easy drive away.... More

We needed an overnight stop on the A303. The hotel was certainly cheap and the man on the desk friendly. However, the whole place felt very tired. The room was large and the bed quite comfortable, but the decor was not good. The bedding was clean, but overall the room, especially the bathroom, felt quite grimy. I would say this... More

Only Stayed overnight with husband & 22month old baby, Cons: Firstly, premium rate number to call them, unable to get through to anyone on the phone to confirm booking plans. Room smelled of medicine. Bathroom was very grubby, dirty and tired, in great need of a clean & updating. Noisy heater & too hot at night. I did not "get... More

We are truly sorry to learn of the issues you experienced during your stay with us Cynthia B. Our cleaning staff are expected to routinely check all our rooms and to notice any smells. We will air out the affected room thoroughly and notify the Hotel Manager if necessary. Similarly, during these room checks, we would require our staff to... More
