Only Stayed overnight with husband & 22month old baby, Cons: Firstly, premium rate number to call them, unable to get through to anyone on the phone to confirm booking plans. Room smelled of medicine. Bathroom was very grubby, dirty and tired, in great need of a clean & updating. Noisy heater & too hot at night. I did not "get... More

We are truly sorry to learn of the issues you experienced during your stay with us Cynthia B. Our cleaning staff are expected to routinely check all our rooms and to notice any smells. We will air out the affected room thoroughly and notify the Hotel Manager if necessary. Similarly, during these room checks, we would require our staff to... More

No, not me, but the whole place is shabby without being in any way chic! However, it was a cheap and good night's sleep and therefore was value for money - what can you expect at these prices? The bathroom tiles seem to date from the 80s and show lots of repair attempts using only grout - rather comical, really,

Travelodge is a no-frills reliable chain. You get a basic clean room with a bathroom and that's about it. I wasn't expecting more, and I didn't get more. Upside: price, reasonably comfy bed, warm enough once we'd closed the window (left open in January). Downside: Overstuffed pillows that were too deep and too firm, so even one was too deep.... More

Visited the area for two nights to visit Christmas markets in Southampton, Winchester and Salisbury. Booked here, then read awful reviews! On arrival, all really good. Pleasant staff member, room very clean and tidy, albeit not in thE first flush of youth. Slight odour in room was quickly overcome by opening a window for two minutes. Not a problem as... More

We needed a place to stay so that we could visit a number of people in Andover and attend a family occasion. When we arrived at 13:30, the receptionist was not very friendly, told us to go away for an hour, then we could check in. We really only wanted to dump our luggage in the room and drive on... More

Bed old and too soft. Room too hot. Decor worn and shabby But the linen was clean and the staff the most friendly I have ever met in a Travelodge. The location is superb though, for trips to Winchester, Salisbury, Portsmouth etc.

The bed was comfortable and the linen clean. The room had been routinely cleaned but the wear and tear was beyond that. The whole hotel needs a deep clean. The water was lovely and hot, sadly the pressure was very poor so it was a struggle to have a shower. The TV was an old--fashioned CRT, hardly bigger than a... More

We had one room booked as we would be passing on our way to Devon. Turned up around 8.30 to be told there was no room available, even though they had taken our money. The member of staff was rude saying he had phoned me lots of times, I had 2 missed calls and a message just asking if we... More
