This Travelodge is next to a filling station on the busy A303. When I found I'd been given a room at the front, I asked to be moved to the back but this was refused, even though the hotel was not busy. The room was cold when I arrived and took ages to warm up. The furniture was inadequate and... More

Although the room was clean and up to standard, the bathroom smelled of mould and pee, and looked ready for the builders hammer. Too many signs of years of travellers by wonky tiles, black bits in the tiles and silicone graut. This one is crying out for a refit. The room however was clean, warm and apart from the awful... We booked here for a simple overnight stay then off in the morning. Knowing the only eatery attached was a Little Chef we ate before arrival and brought our own snacks for the morning. It's on the A303 with nothing be a petrol station for company. Check in took a long time as the sole employee was away from the... More

My wife and I had a pleasant surprise when we stayed in the Travelodge at Barton Stacey, on the main A303. We had a very comfortable and peaceful nights sleep. Also although we had been told that the hotel had not received it refurbishment, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I would recommend.

I needed somewhere to stay with my two children of 7 and 5 while we visited some old friends. The room was very clean and comfortable, a large room which had a kingsize bed and two single beds. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was very basic, but for the price It exceeded all my expectations.... More

The great staff where great, but the condition of the first room I was put I was far from that the bathroom was very damp making the whole room damp. The second room was find. The location is not for the faint hearted as the trees block the sign to the place, so if you have no satnav you come... More

Stayed here on way home from Cornwall.......Access only from westbound carriageway of A303 The hotel was more than adequate for an overnight stop Warm welcome at reception on arrival and shown to a good sized room at back of hotel (Quieter rooms) Enjoyed a good meal at adjacent Little Chef with a 10% discount on presentation of Travelodge key ring... The worst night that we have ever spent in a hotel. The walls are paper thin and we were woken up twice by large loud parties returning at all hours and then talking in the corridor. We were able to hear every word spoken. On top of that every time someone opened or closed a door, we heard it. We... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and wasn't overly impressed with the location - on the A303 with only a garage and a Little Chef beside it - very lonely. The nearest supermarket, good pubs, restaurants etc are about 6.5 miles away. This Travelodge has not be 'refreshed' alongside the other Travelodge's nationwide and so is a bit tired in terms...
