We stayed in the hotel with a party of 17. As from arrival several things went wrong. First we were given a single bed room, although we booked a double. This was kind of repaired by giving us a 'standard' double room with a very, very small bed. To make this first aknowlegdement with the hotel even worse, the room... More

it was great value for a group of more than 40 people. A little bit Faulty Towers with staff that call you 'mate' but, as I say, at £40/night for B&B it was great value for the area. 3 course evening meal for 40 at £20/head and everyone said the food and vegetables were excellent. All in all the hotel... More

We have stayed here with a group of 17 adults. Clearly this hotel has no clue about the 2013 standards Communication before our stay was great. These people know how to get you in. But upon arrival it felt like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers. The room was spacious enough but no view except for the gutter and... More

Stayed here for our wedding night so were given 'the best' room, the bed was absolutely awful; mattress completely caved in in the middle, and bending upwards on the outside -so you even couldn't lie straight. Cannot believe this was room was the best. Staff were brilliant -went out of their way to ensure high quality customer service -allowing us... More

I have to say that we found the staff exceptionally helpful! I had asked for an accessible room because I am disabled but there was a long-stay disabled guest already in the hotel but the staff went 'the extra mile' to not only ensure that we had not only had a room on the nearest landing but also that other... Tired decor, terrible food, uninterested staff. We were poked away on the top floor, in the eaves, where Rob managed to bang his head every five minutes. Not knowing how awful the meal would be, we opted to dine in the first night - BIG mistake! Soggy and bland vegetables swamped in a dreadful, tasteless yellow sauce containing garden peas.... More

Well where to start ??? The Staff are just out of this world, helpful, friendly, attend to your every need, go that extra mile, and always with a smile on their face, and trust me I spent a month at this hotel and never did I see a moan or groan from any member of staff. The rooms are always... More

Recently returned from a 2 night stay with my family to attend a wedding at this hotel. I was somewhat apprehensive when reading some of the previous reviews, but happy to report that it was not as bad as anticipated. It is centrally located in the town and has convenient parking. The double rooms are comfortable, a reasonable size and... More
