Food was usual Wetherspoons standard and we rarely find need to complain - presentation is a bit basic but all food was hot and served reasonably quickly. As always, it was great value. The pub looked like it has been recently refurbished and it was lovely. Good mix of booths, high seated tables and usual seating. All staff were very... More

The staff were very helpful and the room of high quality. biscuits with the tea/coffee earned extra brownie points. There is no dedicated parking but nearby Morrisons has free over night parking with security camera coverage. I would highly recommend food which you can eat downstairs or up in your room & breakfast was yummy too, Although some traffic from... More

We have eaten in this restaurant within the hotel 4 times since it has opened and the all I can say is the first time was in the opening week and the meal Sirloin steak and trimmings was very very good. However, each time since the first the standards seemed to slip, the next meal was a salmon salad and... More

My daughter and I needed to stay in the area at last minute, and £59 for a twin room for two nights was the best price around. Not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by a newly refurbished wetherspoons and a lovely sound-proof hotel room two floors up. Comfortable, clean room, with plenty of space, complimentary water bottles and biscuits,... More

Usual pub food, large quantities very good prices for food and drink and food served until 11pm. Had 14oz rump steak and it was properly cooked too! Large range of beers all at good prices - you can easily get 2 pints for less than £5

I went with my Brother and Daughter today for lunch as was very pleasantly surprised by the interior of Wetherspoons new premises. the pub has been there since Queen Victoria's reign and has a long history. It was looking rather sorry for itself, but not now. It is bright and airy with a lovely little beer garden at the rear.... More

Forget all the preconceptions about Wetherspoons this was one of the nicest hotels I have visited with work this year. Booking online secured a room for £41.30 for a spacious double bedroom with a large ensuite. Bottles of water, tea and coffee provided. Throughly tasteful recent renovations throughout with the staff incredibly busy with customers for a Tuesday night but... More

Shared a lovely two course lunch with my husband today. Couldn't fault the food and we were even asked by a nice young waitress if we would like our main course now or would we like to wait a few minutes. Cannot fault the service, food or surroundings - will definitely be going back! Far much more than was expected... More

This venue has been completely refurbished by Wetherspoons and they have created a very attractive example of their brand. The usual full range of meal deals and beers are available, but the added extra is that service is given by a very friendly and attentive group of young personnel. Did not see the now available bedrooms, but if the excellence... More

Visited Aldershot this weekend and when away from home, bearing in mind my wife and i like a drink' we always look for a Wetherspoons, this is because they are the cheapest and because of this they always pull a good pint, my tippel Guinness and a busy pub always delivers a good pint. We ate here as well and... More
