Purchased on blind online service as "downtown Manchester". Rooms were typical Holiday Inn, acceptable, but the location is terrible, especially if you don't have a car. Located in industrial area, 15 minute walk to Manchester if you have the guts. 5-10 pound cab ride. Location, location, location - NOT. more

I was visiting a friend for the weekend and this hotel as just what I needed. It was fairly cheap and provided me with a clean but basic room. Nothing spectacular, just functional. more

Thank god for Sat Nav, otherwise we would never have found the place. We stayed 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) on a room only basis. The cost was £39 per night as a deal through the Priorty Club Newsletter. Saturday the car park and hotel were busy. Sunday there were just 3 cars in the car park. As others have... more

After reading the reviews left on here. we was very cautious about staying at this hotel, but as there was no other hotels available, Wanting to go to the football, but not fancy travelling back down to London, we opted to take a chance. On arriving, we had to go through the security gates, bit worrying, but at least my... more

As a Gold member to Six continent hotels i stay in many holidays Inns and this was by far the worst one ive ever stayed in. As like the previous reviews the security gates on arrival make you realise how bad the area actually is. Now onto the rooms. Checked in swifty and went to my room. This was the... more

When you are welcomed by remote controlled security gate to the hotel's parking space / entrance, you start wondering about security during nights... and comments by locals are not too encouraging: you shouldn't walk, take cab (which I did). Floors are cheap wood structures that creak when you walk. No central air conditioning / heating - this is handled by... more

Stayed here when needed accomodation for Snow Patrol concert at the MEN. Found the hotel very easy to find using the directions on the hotel website. Hotel room was clean and an ok size, suited our purpose as we basically headed into Manchester as soon as we arrived. Didn't use the hotel bar / restaurants but they were both busy... more

I booked this through one of those websites where you don't learn what the hotel is until you've already booked a non-refundable "great" deal. Dumbest thing I ever did. The hotel was rated as a three-and-a-half star, but it's exactly what this website rates it -- a two star. The hotel itself was not too bad. The service was okay,... more

I stay in hotels most week and I am generally a big fan of the intercontinental hotel groups. I decided to spend some of my hard earnt loyalty points on this hotel whilst visiting Manchester for a 30th party. All i need to really comment on is the location, please do not be fooled to think this hotel is anywhere... more

This hotel is a typical average Holiday Inn in a less desirable part of Manchester. Upon arrival in the car we needed to buzz to open the prison style gates. This kind of secure parking is obviously needed as the surrounding area looked scary. Not a place to walk at night! Inside the hotel everything was fine all clean tidy... more
