My wife and I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality. Following a biking accident earlier that day we unexpectedly found ourselves looking for a hotel after midnight. The staff (esp Marie, Claire, Carol and the young Asian receptionist whose name I forget) were so understanding, friendly and helpful we really can't put into words. The room was big... More

As previously stated, the hotel is in need of updating. No fridge, no power outlet by the bed, most of the food was bland, no a/c, but the Staff were friendly. They do have something that is aparantly rare, water pressure. That almost makes up for all the deficiencies.

Booked this hotel for a night out in manchester decided to stop here as I stayed in copthorne in Newcastle and it was excellent however manchester wasn't the same. The bed was small and the room was a little dated but we did have a nice view out to the river. We had booked a room with breakfast but this... More

Situated close to the tram stop so easy to get around locally and the general Manchester area. Ideal for visiting Media City a few minutes tram ride away or a 15 mins walk. Car parking on site at no extra cost. Reception area efficiently set out, small bar area serving food and drinks with a well positioned restaurant next to... More

I have to say that I really struggled to find anything positive to say about this hotel, but I finally came up with the following: - The staff at the breakfast were friendly, and the breakfast itself was pretty decent. - The lady at the reception was very efficient when checking out. - The location is pretty good for reaching... Just like the rest of reviews, this hotel is in desperate need of a good clean and overhaul! The first thing that hits you when you open the room door is the heat, and there is no way of cooling the room down. I had a room above the restaurant and even with the windows open fully (the full inch... More

I've not stayed at this hotel for something like 15 years and it appears nothing has changed. This is not a compliment... It is just plain tired. From the outside the hotel looks OK if a little dated and this is a theme that continued through out stay. The reception area again is fine but looks like it is in... More

Firstly don't be fooled by the outside appearance it my look modern but the rooms on the inside look like they are from the 90's. Yes the service is ok at reception but that's where it ends. When I first entered my room what struck me was the heat, so I reached for the air con....oh...looks like I will have... More
