bought a nights stay on a groupon offer. currently being updated in parts.clean room.we used the spa which was nice, although rather busy on a Saturday. Nice pub. Staff were very nice especially the lady at breakfast who went out of her way to get us some lovely Greek yogurt after our full breakfast.

Hotel is well situated and allows you to escape the noise of Manchester while still being less than a 30 minute commute away. Services provided are plentiful (gym, pool, Starbucks etc) although I didn't get to use many of them. Friendly staff but bedrooms felt a bit compact and basic. The accommodation areas of the hotel need some work to... More

Poor quality hotel. The seats in reception and the coffee shop were scruffy. Our room smelt of smoke when it was no-smoking as did the corridor. There was re-painting ongoing in the corridors but this was just tarting up.

I am terribly sorry to learn of your disappointment, and very much regret that the Duty Manager was not informed at the time, as she would have made every effort to re-accommodate you. Whilst rooms smelling of smoke are unusual I assure you that the necessary corrective steps have been taken so that Housekeeping will be more vigilant in checking... More

My son and I had a lovely time here. excellent value for money as I was on the special offer overnight stay which was £20 for the evening. This doesn't include breakfast, which I paid £12 for both of us, but still excellent value. The beds were lovely and comfortable, the room was clean. Only 12 channels on the tv,... More

Fine for an overnight stay, clean and reasonable facilities. Location not the most attractive but it suited us as it was very close to where we were the net day. Beware the signage for getting out the car park

Hotel is nice, bar is a bit odd asked for a splash of extra coke with my amaretto and coke and the guy wanted 80p more even though I had already paid for it. Best was a rave in the next room at 1am, called reception said they would deal with it, someone knocked on the door and asked them... More

Stayed at a few Village hotels now and this wasn't the best . Room ok , bathroom very small . Restaurant food poor , soup sent back to be dinged again . Main meal so so . Had the same food in the Swansea village hotel and that was light years better .

This was a night for my friends fiftieth birthday, there were eight of us and what fun it was. We had a sit down meal made up of thick vegetable soup and croutons with a bread roll, chicken roast dinner or for me a vegetarian dish of gnocchi and Ratatouille which was delicious and finally a fruit torte with cream... Lots of facilities if that's your thing.Friendly staff and a very good pub attached. Didn't use the restaurant so can't comment but it looked quite nice. Handy location for local rail services into Manchester. They have themed evenings with disco on some weekends so bear that in mind if you need a good nights sleep. Definitely would stay again possibly... More

Do not bother eating here if you want a nice family meal. Friday night food out with family spoiled by far too loud football! Now I'm a football fan but the tv was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. We asked twice for it to be turned down only to be told "the manager is a Utd... More
