Having read the negative reviews about this hotel ... well how wrong can they be. We arrived today to a warm welcome and after a short wait (we were early) we relaxed in our room which was well decorated and comfortable. We went down for evening meal which was excellent. The service was first class and highly efficient. Some people... More

We stayed here for 4 nights (Mon - Friday). Our room was at the rear of the hotel overlooking a grassed area so it was quiet but had no net curtains to the window so when dressing the other curtains had to be closed as the grassed area was open to other guests. We felt the room required a bit... More

Our room was very old and tatty. Had to request towels and toilet tissue after the room had been cleaned! Housekeeping was not happy when I requested them to have a look at the shower (literally dribbling water) in the bathroom. Food was like school dinners and rationed. The female enterntainer on the Wednesday was extremely rude! Told a 80... More

... on the way up the M5 from Cornwall. Comfortable bar/eating area layout, (one, at the time) real ale and good quality food. I can't comment on the hotel itself but it looked spacious and well-maintained. Certainly worth a 'stop' for food, if you're ever down that way.

arrived 14/7/2014 . hot day on arrival mid-afternoon so fancied some refreshment but unfortunately the young receptionist had to book in some other guests & answer the phone before she could double up as barmaid. the beer was £3.80 a pint & 1/2 shandy £2.10 so drinks are really expensive !! at dinner we were placed in a nice conservatory... As soon as we walked into the Bay Prince of Wales hotel, we were made to feel very welcome. This was our third visit to the hotel, and Mel knew us straight away (not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing!!) Once again we really enjoyed our stay and will be returning at some point. I am sorry you felt the need to post this comment but having experienced your visit here in April I am surprised it took you so long, not because your comments are correct but because of your manner whilst you were here. Anyone who had the misfortune to come into contact with you would have been on the receiving end... More
