After our 3rd stay here to attend the "Vindi reunion" at Sharpness we found the same high standard as always. Only thing was they don't serve dinner till 6.30pm and as someone was keeping us seats at the Dockers Club which gets extremely crowded we would not have had time to enjoy dinner there. We ordered a cab from "Martin's... More

Had the pleasure of staying at the Malt House Inn to attend a wedding at Berkeley Castle. The wedding party and family friends also stayed; all were in agreement that the rooms were a good size and well maintained. The meals and breakfasts were outstanding and the owners and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble.... More

Very friendly greeting by the owner who then showed us to our room. The room was very clean and a good size. (Room 5 which is a triple). She was also very helpful in giving directions and advice. The wifi was excellent which is a relief when working away. The walls are a little thin resulting me hear next doors... More

A lovely hotel set in the village of Berkeley. Had a spotless bedroom with crisp white duvets, and accessories. On suite also spotless. The bar area is old world with exposed beams everywhere, which was complemented by high quality food. had a meal of sizzling chilli chicken which was one of the best meals ever had. Would highly recommend this... More

My husband, son and I stayed using a 'one night free' voucher, we were charged £40 for a family room. We were offered breakfast between 8.30 - 9.30 at an additional cost of £10 per person but declined due to the price and time. The room was spacious, warm and clean with a good sized TV, tea and coffee making... More

I'm always very keen to be fair to hotels and I probably wouldn't pick to stay in myself, but in which I am required to stay for work. Such a hotel was the Malthouse hotel where I stayed for one night prior to filming in the area. You cannot fault the welcome. It's around 8.30pm on Monday evening, and although... More

I arrived at around 7pm and was helped to my room by the woman I presume is the owner, who was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, clean and well presented, with fresh white bedlinen. Bathroom had a noisy fan that stayed on for too long - not unusual in hotels of course. I ate in... More

Nice hotel. Friendly staff and good food especially the breakfast ! My only problem was that the pub stated it had real ales but they only served one bitter! Being a real ale lover I went to a pub down the road the second evening as they had a good choice of local ales :-) No complaints about the room.... More

An overnight stay at the Malt House was most enjoyable. The room had all that we needed and was clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. We could not fault the friendly staff and delicious evening meal and tasty English breakfast. We would definitely stay here again and can thoroughly recommend it.

Visited the Malthouse for an overnight stay and was very pleasantly surprised. The first thing that hit me was the cleanliness - very clean and very fresh smelling. The bedroom was large, sunny and very comfortable with a matching large en suite. Wendy, the owner, was very friendly and pleasant and Zac the waiter also gets top marks for his... More
