My husband's cousin and wife were visiting England for the first time and luckily a deal came up on Secret Escapes. I booked two rooms and then rang up explaining it was their 50th Wedding Anniversary, so could they possibly have a 4 poster bed. When we arrived all these details were remembered and we had two rooms next to... More

Beautiful Castle, very friendly & helpful staff, food excellent, rooms are exceptional, very spacious & feels like you've gone back in time to Henry VIII's era, lovely gardens to walk around, well worth a visit.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip to the UK. Our two children aged 10 and 12 loved the four poster bed the huge fireplace and the the stairs around the circular tower that had to be climbed to reach our room. We spent the days before checking in visiting many historic castles in Wales, so it was thrilling... More

Upon arrival, we had the last reservation for dinner and were taking promptly to a table. After ordering our food, we did not see the wait-staff again until our food arrived. During our meal, our beverages were never refilled and the wait-staff were more interested in the wedding festivities than serving their guests. We asked for our bill and it... More

We stayed at the Castle recently to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The room was absolutely breath-taking with a magnificient four poster bed, ornate ceiling and open fire place. The room was spotless and very cosy, with all of the amenities you could want - soft fluffy Bath Robes, Slippers, lovely Bath Products, Tea/Coffee and complimentary Sherry. After checking in,... Got a super deal through secret escapes and because of a snafu on our dates the staff automatically upgraded us to a stunning room with wonderful view through full height stone bay windows over the immaculately kept gardens complete with a charming backdrop of ancient walls and the local church spire. The huge room was furnished well with a four... More

I absolutely love castles and the idea of staying in one was more than a dream! Everything about Thornubry Castle was perfection. We stayed in the guest house which was a quaint little cottage at the front of the castle. It was beyond spacious and included everything we could possibly need! The service was immaculate, the breakfast buffet fit for... More

I had the best time staying here. The property is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the food delicious, the staff very accommodating. I would highly recommend a stay. Walking the gardens where Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn strolled was so cool! It was well worth the money!
