Had a one night stay as a birthday present and was impressed from the minute we arrived . The receptionist Anna was professional and polite and showed us to our room -the Woodstock and that had the wow factor. Great experience. Kids loved it. The room we stayed in was awesome. Big room with fireplace. Cool 4 post bed. They brought in cots for the kids. Hostess/receptionist was very nice. We stayed at the hotel with our 21 month old twins recently and were very impressed. The staff are low-key but very helpful and attentive, the rooms are fabulous and you cannot beat staying in a "proper" castle! Travelling with young children can be hard, but the hotel advertises itself as family friendly and that is definitely the case.
