My husband and I attended at wedding in Clearwell and we stayed at the Tudor Farmhouse. The property was lovely and the staff was so pleasant and helpful. I requested a room on the ground floor with a shower since I have limited mobility and my request was honored. It was perfect!

A lovely hotel in a lovely village, we only stayed one night but could have stayed for longer. I wouldn't recommend the loft room we stayed in (4) only because there is no view at all through the skylight, the shower head would not stay up and the TV had a mind of its own. We are not moaners so... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and sampled dinner one evening. My sister and I shared a twin room (#9) and found it quite cramped (we are both close to 6' tall). The bathroom, although decorated quite luxuriously was tiny and difficult to negotiate. Dinner was a bit overwrought with the chef going overboard on things on the plate, making the... More

Stayed here for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Hotel is well presented, service is very good and the 'Junior Barn' style room was very nice. Ate in the restaurant as well in the evening which was stunning, rib eye and ray fin highly recommended. Great base to explore the Forest of Dean

Stayed one night whilst visiting friends in the village. We had previously enjoyed a superb lunch here back in 2011 so didn't hesitate to book the hotel for our stay. We booked a Junior Barn Room which was on the ground floor and beautifully appointed. Only negative was the electric shower - the water pressure was poor and temperature fluctuated... More

Beautiful country house with lovely rooms. Lounge and restaurant from 13th centry kept in traditional style with a modern touch. The food is absolutly gorgeous consisting of novel combinations and high quality products. Only minus was that our room had a bath with no proper shower, which made it difficult to wash in the morning. Also very noisy guest, slamming... More

After being invited to a wedding at Clearwell Castle we looked for a hotel to stay in and because of the good reviews here on Tripadvisor we chose Tudor Farmhouse Hotel. We had asked for a room to be available to change for the wedding and when we arrived a lovely room was all ready for us, it was a... More

Stayed here for one night in July and loved it. Located in a quiet village, the atmosphere was serene. The staff were professional and welcoming. The room and bathroom was perfect - new, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, with locally sourced fresh food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to everyone.

From the moment i arrived to the moment I left - amazing is the only word to describe my experience. I arrived later in the day and had requested ground floor because of mobility issues - and was immediately upgraded to a room that was closer to reception / dining area. I had parked the car (not in the car... More

As an anniversary treat we booked the summer break which included 2 nights bed, breakfast and dinner. We had booked one of the less expensive rooms but on arrival were given a free upgrade to room 22. This is a lovely room with a spectacular bathroom and the thickest towels I've ever seen. Other nice touches were fresh milk in... More
