We had a wonderful two nights celebrating our anniversary at the Tudor Farmhouse at the end of January. We were in room 17 - a lovely size, comfortable king size bed and although the bathroom is one of those not yet done up yet we appreciated the whirlpool bath after our insane mountain bike ride at Cannop! Everyone is very... More

We had a lovely night at this beautiful boutique hotel. The rooms are individual and relaxing with beautiful bathrooms, beds are very comfort and dinner was lovely. A special mention to the waiter at dinner from Harrow, he was professional and nothing was too much trouble. Other staff seemed preoccupied, an example being we had to ask for marmalade and... More

Although the food was good (dinner and breakfast) we were very disappointed with the accommodation - it was exceptionally noisy, very small and our shower either scalded or froze you! The manager/owner came to see the shower as we simply could not use it and advised us that we had to put it on a middle setting and not touch... More

Dear Fiona P I’m sorry you were disappointed with your room this weekend. As you rightly point out the shower in this room can occasionally overheat when set to “High”. Not a fault with this unit per se but unfortunately a feature of electric showers generally in our experience. We have been steadily refurbishing all the rooms over the last... More

Perfect !! It ranked for the whole weekend but we were able to relax, eat and drink in perfect surroundings. The food is wonderful and the staff and welcoming but extremely slick. Room was gorgeous. Perfect !

The rooms are varied but overall very nice. I've stayed a few times and the staff are always friendly. The restaurant is fine dining. If that's not what you're looking for there's a pub next door which does more mid range solid food.

We booked a romantic weekend stay here, staying in The Loft studio apartment and had a fantastic time. The room (apartment) is very well appointed, with an epic bathroom and all the comforts you could need. The package we chose included evening meals in the restaurant for both nights, one from the a-la-carte menu and one of the tasting menu.... More

Stayed here on a Travelzoo deal for 2 nights. This standard of hotel and particularly restaurant was not what I expected in an out of the way place in a very non touristy village. We had a mid range ground floor 'Hen' room (No 7) which was a very decent size and well furnished and maintained. No captive hangers -... More

Stayed in 'The Nest' suite room for my birthday after booking through secret escapes. Room was fantastic, separate sitting area, comfortable bed, and AMAZING bathroom. I had two baths and two showers during our two nights and it made our relaxing weekend even better. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but the breakfasts were wonderful, not at all greasy... This review is for the restaurant only. Our cousins had booked the taster menu as a treat for my wife's birthday. It was a very good evening indeed. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the service superb. It's 'chefy' as you would expect for a place with a taster menu - we had something like 7 courses. The atmosphere... More

The rooms are lovely, the food is great, the value for money is remarkable… but what really sets the Tudor Farmhouse apart is the quality of welcome. We mentioned on booking our one night stay that we would probably arrive in the early afternoon – even if the room wasn’t ready - and pick their brains on local walks. On... More
