Stayed just one night but excellent little hotel. Standard double room in annexe was excellent. Very spacious compared to nationwide business hotels, all facilities on hand; we had a most comfortable night. Sadly restaurant at Wyndham closed but Butchers Arms, 100 yds away has very good restaurant with too big a portion meals for us! Breakfast at Wyndham was really... More

We have just returned from our three nights at The Wyndham Arms and have no hesitation in saying we look forward to returning soon. The main reason we chose the Wyndham was it was Dog friendly and by friendly that is an understatement. We travelled with Flynn our Labradoodle pup who is just 10 months old and were concerned how... My fiancé and I stayed here for 1 night as we were attending a friends wedding in clearwell castle. We were able to check in early which was very helpful. The room was quite clean and spacious. Breakfast was £10 per person and a little over priced in my opinion. I would stay there again if attending a wedding in... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst mountain biking in the Forest of Dean. We had 2 single rooms which were described on the phone as "small", but turned out to be perfectly adequate for us & the vast amount of gear that we seem to need for a weekend away ! In fact, we were originally due to... More

Yet again an excellent lunch and as usual, great value. Friendly and helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. It has been a few months since we were last here and we noticed a few subtle improvements, table cloths and cutlery set out was a nice surprise and makes for an extra special meal. Chelsea (our Rottie) was fussed over as... More

Stayed here last weekend as we, and several friends, were attending a wedding at the castle. Had a lovely meal the night before the wedding, food was very good and the staff were great. Then in the morning, the breakfast was jolly good, I think the sausages are from their own pigs which is a nice touch. Then we went... More

My wife and I, late sixties, spent 3 nights D,B&B here as a hotel promotion. Excellent value all round. Staff obliging, helpful. and easy-going. Our room (a twin) was spacious with ample storage, Freeview TV and good internet signal. Breakfasts were substantial with a good range of items. Evening meal again substantial (we could not manage a dessert on any... More

My daughter and I had an evening meal on Monday 24 February. We know the portions are generous, so just had a main course. My daughter had lamb and I had duck. Both meals were absolutely faultless. The homemade chipped potatoes were the best that I have ever had anywhere! Prices may seem steep, but the portions are big, a... More
