We have just come back from a wonderful stay at the Wyndham with our dog George. A warm welcome from Nigel and Charlie with a bottle of champagne (ordered for a birthday surprise) and a plate of dog biscuits in the room! The food was outstanding with a different menu each night, excellent service from all of the staff with... More

We have stayed in Clearwell before and have eaten in the Wyndham Arms, but for my Birthday my husband booked us all (including our little dog) in for the 3 days for the price of 2 offer, we had a fantastic time, the owner and staff did all they could to make our break a real treat, our room was... I have been staying here off and on over the past 4 years, I spend 8 months a year living in hotels all over the place and I look forward to hearing I have a stint in the Forest of Dean just to stay here. The management are top guys, very welcoming and go above and beyond to make our... More

Dear Andy A, Thank you for the' five star' review and your kind comments. That Kingstone's 'Humpties Fuddle' does slip down easy which, at 5.8% is dangerous. We look forward to welcoming back. Kind regards, Nigel More

Would not recommend to anyone, highly annoyed! Extremely disappointed in the level of service that this hotel has provided. We had two nights booked for the 3rd and 4th of April but unfortunately had to cancel this due to a family emergency. My fiancée called to see if we could cancel the dates and arrange a different date later on... More

The Wyndham Arms is a tidy, well run hotel offering comfortable accommodation, breakfasts and dinner. The room we were allocated in the annex was warm, clean and nicely appointed. The room was cleaned and tidied daily to a high standard. A full English breakfast was both ample and extremely well cooked. There was plenty of choice and the service was... More

We had an outstanding chicken Sunday carvery at the Wyndham Arms, just down the road from Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean. The Wyndham is a short walk from the scenic Clearwell Castle, where Led Zeppelin composed and rehearsed portions of the album "In Through the Out Door." The pub/restaurant was MC'ed by Charles, a welcoming Scotsman from Glasgow, who... More

The hotel is very dated and not what I expected for the price. Although we had the 4 poster bedroom, the linen and duvet provided was at best 1970 army issue (itchy woolly scratchy) and the hot tub took the best part of 30 minutes to fill to a decent level. It was an awful impression in the room on... More
