We went to Blockley to attend a friend's birthday party and what a treat of a place in the heart of the Cotswolds! A lovely traditional building in Cotswold stone & with a great comfortable interior. We were given room 9 which had a 4 poster bed - good size room, with a fairly small shower room. Given that it... more

We were attending a birthday party in the area, and although we have been to the more well-known parts of the Cotswolds before, we'd never been to Blockley. So, we booked The Crown as it was local, and we are glad we did! Blockley is a peaceful little village filled with a mixture of traditional and more modern houses, all... more

Stayed here in May and found it to be a real gem. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed (four poster) and decent bathroom. Ate here on both nights of the stay and the menu and restaurant were both of good quality. I recommend the lamb shank as it was tasty and there was plenty of it.... more

Stayed for one night and payed way too much for the standard of hotel and room. We were given room 24 which requires mountaineering equipment to reach. Steep stairs with dangerous beams make finding the room more of an assault course. The room was comfortable but in desperate need of updating. Plastic flower arrangements, dirty shower-heads and cobwebs in the... more

We stayed for three nights at the Crown Inn and would definately recommend a break there. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and rooms very comfortable. I can understand the problem with noise levels if you had a room above the bar but fortunately we had a nice quiet one!! We will return again. more

We stayed for 5 nights and was very happy with this Hotel. This is the first time I have felt I should write a review. The staff were very attentive, the breakfast was well cooked and served promptly. We ate in the bar four times and enjoyed the food very much. If I could find something negitive it would be... more

There are cheaper rate doubles if you look the price list in the website. Do not stay there if you would like to sleep in the room at night. Cheper rate rooms are just over the bar. they did not stop playing music till 11pm-2am. Even we asked to stop music, they only did for 20 mins and put back... more

We spent 3 nights here. The hotel room was in need of a lot of TLC. It was on the small size very hot and rather shabby. The sash window would not stay open, there was very limited storage space, the headboards were not attached to the bed and banged on the wall and the television only had a few... more

The price was just right as we got a deal from the internet but I won't have thought so if I had to pay full price. Don't get me wrong , the rooms were lovely and clean (girls did a good job there) but they needed a little TLC, and some proper showers. The public rooms were also clean and... more
