The setting of Lower Brook House is just stunning. The gardens and hotel are beautifully maintained. We stayed for one night in Colebrook room. It was a lovely big room with fantastic views of the Cotswolds countryside and a huge bathroom. The food and service were excellent. We only had breakfast but it was delicious. Blockley itself is a lovely... More

We stayed at Lower Brook House at the beginning of July for the second time. We visited twelve months ago and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return. This was a family weekend and we were a party of six . Unfortunately when we were at dinner my sister-in- law became seriously ill and help was needed. Anna... More

Myself and my partner stayed here last night after our Glastonbury weekend. We booked it a couple of hours before we were due to stay and wanted something peaceful and relaxing and that's what we got. We were both very impressed with the guest house itself, the gardens are gorgeous, the communal areas are cosy and stylish and its in... More

We stayed for three nights in a very comfortable room facing the lovely garden. We ate in the restaurant each night and together with the breakfasts, the food and service could not be faulted. The hosts and all the staff were friendly and so keen to make the visit memorable and nothing was too much trouble, which created a happy... More

I felt just like one of Jane Austen's characters gazing through the opened leaded and iron latched windows with deep sills and gorgeous view looking down into the garden and across to the greenest of hills. We stayed in Westmacott which had a comfy bed, attractive decor and that view. While the bathroom is modern and quite large it has... More

We have just returned from a very enjoyable dining experience at Lower Brook House in the beautiful Cotswold village of Blockley. Our host was welcoming, the restaurant decor quirky and tasteful, and three out of four meals were superb, the fourth meal being an average lamb curry. We were invited to take pre-dinner drinks in the comfortable lounge, and were... More

We recently spent a couple of very peaceful nights here. The room was spotless, the bed linen was like sleeping in a big fluffy cloud - egyptian cotton with such a high thread count, it felt like silk. The breakfasts are to die for. Now...that's the compliments out of the way. When we arrived there was absolutely no welcome. To... More

We've just stayed 3 nights and have been very impressed with the care taken to get the finer detail right. We stayed in the Colebrook room which was extremely clean: a generous size ensuite with separate shower as well as bath; fluffy towels, good quality toiletries, tea/coffee tray well presented with home made cookies left for you each day, plus... We dined here having been attracted by the ratings but what a disappointment! The welcome was cool and the food was bland and tasteless. A very poor experience and they have the cheek to add a (discretionary) service charge into your bill! Try the local pub!

What a superb comfortable hotel set in a beautiful village in the heart of the Cotswolds, the owners were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Food was excellent only marked as a four due to the price which at base rate are a bit expensive
