Jane is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Cotswolds. Her B&B is very reasonably priced and pleasant. The Resident's Lounge is a particularly good place to sit, read and plan the next day's outing. The twin bedded room was very spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfasts as well !

The room my wife and I stayed in was very clean, breakfast was excellent, and the landlady friendly. Good value for money. Just one point - directions to the B & B need updating, Best bet for a pub -local pub

My fiance (now wife) and I stayed here the same night that I had proposed to her earlier that day. We got a room with two single beds, which we thought was hilarious under the circumstances. Jane was very kind and helpful. Our room was very quiet, and Jane's breakfast was delicious. You get to eat at her dining room... More

The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and well cooked hot food. Good value for money although we thought it a little out of the way of the mainstream Cotswolds hot spots. Ideal for hikers.

A very enjoyable stay in The Mallins. Jane is friendly and very helpful. Rooms were comfortable and warm with en suite shower. The toilet can be noisy because of the macerator unit but it is only for a few seconds so not really a problem. Breakfast was good and had fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as cereals. Lovely cooked... The owner was very pleasant and our room had lots of storage. Breakfast was also excellent. The website was, however, a little out of date as 2 of the 3 things to guide us to the house have now vanished, and the photo has been done very cleverly to make you think it is a detached house, which it is... Jane made us feel very welcome when we arrived, lovely lady!! Room was clean and comfortable although bed was a bit too hard for my liking but my wife found it fine. House is laid back from road so reasonably quiet.Ideally positioned to explore the village(Where Father Brown was/is filmed). Breakfast was very tasty and filling.Didn't need to eat again until... Fair sized room, few minutes walk to Blockley with good pub to have dinner. Not far by car to the other nice villages and the Cotswolds Way and many other nice walking paths. BnB can be very quite but if other noisy guests are there it can be very loud as you can hear everything through into your room.

I often stay at The Malins while traveling through the area. The owner/landlady Jane is helpful - plus she has only put up the price (by £5) once in the past six years. Very reasonable rates. Conveniently located on the road through Blockley - but set back, so it is quiet. The village is great to explore and has good... More

We stayed four nights at The Malins. Jane, our hostess, was fantastic. She was up like sunshine every morning ready to make a hot breakfast for everyone, which was made to order. Our room and bath were very comfortable and clean. The environment was casual, which we liked, and was conducive to socializing with other guests at breakfast. We will... More
