The time spent at the George was great the staff are 1st class and made us very welcome Food was good, Cleanliness was excelent, our towells were changed daily with full size bath sheets in sparkling white. Echoing other reviews, yes it is a bit tired and could do with a bit of paint and a clean up, but there are some really good deals around making it excellent value for money. Our room was big, cvlean really comfortable beds and a good size bathroom. The lighting wasn't brilliant but a minor irritation compared to the positives.... more

Excellent value for money, in a great location to explore the Cotswalds. Excellent grounds. I found the hotel could do with a refurbish, paintwork old and chipped, the bedroom was old and dated. Having said that, it was clean. Bar food was ok, breakfest very good, the staff were friendly. more

I have stayed here several times now on business and myself and my colleagues have now made it our place to hold meetings. The rooms are good nothing out of the ordinary but adequate, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. more

What a lovely hotel. We have just returned from a 2 night break at this hotel. The room was lovely, very clean, huge comfortable bed! The food was exceptional, and plentiful. The staff were polite and welcoming. A great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We would definately go back more
