We revisited having got engaged here 10 years ago. It looks quite tired from the outside but the room was lovely. Beautifully clean and delicious chocolate brownies. The fresh milk for tea and coffee was appreciated too. The food was absolutely delicious but not cheap. Really attentive but non obtrusive service and a good wine list. The bed was a... More

We love to go to the passage and take friends and family whenever possible and always for special occasions. The food and service is excellent and we especially like the scallops and lobster. Also brilliant for a drink after a walk and a quick lunch. They have a very reasonable lunch menu. We love to sit out in the sun... More

The passage is very close to us, and how grateful we are! It is my favourite restaurant and no matter what occasion, who I take and what I need, we are never disappointed. Whether you want to grab a drink, sit out on a sunny day, get a quick lunch or have a family/celebratory dinner, the passage is always a... More

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning after seeing the Severn Bore. The food and service was excellent. From the exterior this place looks a little bit uninspiring, but once inside we were welcomed in to a light and airy room with beautifully laid tables, friendly attentive staff. We were most impressed well done and thank you The Old... More

I am an intermittent regular but my friends had never been before. They had been badgering me to take them for some while.I chose to take them for lunch so that they could enjoy the environment in daylight. As always the food was a dream. The fish so fresh it was walking off the plate.Like all quality fish restaurants the final bill is... Myself and a friend has eaten here before and absolutely loved it so when I saw a deal on travelzoo I snapped it up straight away. I started to read some reviews on here that were very unlike the reviews we knew that were associated with the restaurant and we did book in but really was expecting a bad experience... More

Probably the best seafood meal I've eaten - the Dover sole was magnificent. And the local white wine was the perfect partner. It's may be a trek to find this secluded restaurant but it is well worth it. And a walk along the Severn makes a great dessert.

Had read some of the negative reviews and was not sure of whether to book a table or not! But being a seafood lover I decided to take the plunge and try out the food. So we booked it for an anniversary lunch, and boy was it worth it. My husband ordered the mussels and I garlic prawns for the... More

This place is absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed our last visit in the summer so much we made a special trip back. We went with friends to have dinner, stay and watch the Severn Bore (it's a big wave in the estuary - Google it!) the following morning. All four of us had a truly excellent meal (and we are all... It's been a while since we've been here, and it was as good as I remember. A wonderful setting, superb ambience, and fantastic food, well cooked and bursting with flavour. Accommodating service, making us feel welcome, even with a slightly under the weather 20 month old. Not cheap by any means, but worth every penny in my book.
