On arrival my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the room and immediately started to unwind when we took in the lovely view of the river glistening in the summer light. We enjoyed the free brownies and helped ourselves to some of the drinks from the minibar (although there isn't a price list anywhere so... More

We visited the restaurant with a Travelzoo offer and were not disappointed. The seafood platter was wonderful, the home made bread delicious and the Three Choirs local wines - both sparkling and still - were a real treat. The setting is lovely. Yes it is expensive, yes the service was a bit abrupt at times, as other reviewers have noted,... More

Second visit to this wonderful restaurant. My partners birthday was a real treat with John Dory and I had Zarzuela. Very well presented and the service was second to none. We shall be coming back again on the 9th September to try more dishes.

We had a first visit to his little gem on Sunday 15th June, and can't wait to return again! From the booking to the end of our visit, we were thoroughly impressed. The service is top class and the food is amazing. The ambience and situation is beautiful and picturesque and the whole time spent was really enjoyable, the staff... More

We stayed one night with a pre-booked dinner at this delightful place. The location is perfect for a relaxing break being right on the River Severn and we even saw the famous Bore albeit a small one. The restaurant has an excellent menu with an abundance of seafood dishes, and a wonderful wine list to match. We had the best... More

Lovely setting by the river but a bit confusing as this is a restaurant not a pub/inn. We did not know this when we asked for a drink and a snack. I guess the word 'inn' confused us. Luckily the owner soon put us straight with a withering look and sharp words - We're not a pub you know' Looks... More

We've eaten here a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The seafood was beautifully fresh, between the 3 adults we enjoyed starters and mains including scallops, crab, lemon sole, potted shrimp and herb crusted cod whilst the children had mini portions of fabulous beer battered fish and chips. The service was wonderful as was the Prosecco! It's not... More

We had the seafood platter. Absolutely superb - lovely fresh seafood and not messed-about with loads of sauces etc - just perfect, unadulterated, fresh excellent seafood. The other choices people made on other tables looked excellent too. Service was very polite, friendly and attentive. My only suggestion for improvement would be some soft furnishings. The room has a hard quarry... More

We revisited having got engaged here 10 years ago. It looks quite tired from the outside but the room was lovely. Beautifully clean and delicious chocolate brownies. The fresh milk for tea and coffee was appreciated too. The food was absolutely delicious but not cheap. Really attentive but non obtrusive service and a good wine list. The bed was a... More
