The hotel is good the staff are really polite and attentive. We took advantage of an overnight stay for a Murder Mystery night which was very good. There is a pool spa and beauty treatment facility in the hotel with a well equipped gym so the whole weekend was a real treat. Would definitely come here again and would recommend... More

My review , is concerning the rivenhall hotel restaurant, we went there last Sunday a party of four for lunch, have visited it many times for a roast, and it didn't get the praise it should the food was excellent, staff attentive, and would have no hesitation in recommending it for a Sunday lunch, also very good value for money,... One thunderstorm and the place leaked like a sieve, Spa services were inaccessible as a result, but the hotel stll wanted to charge for the facilities. Don't bother complaining you will just get a nasty letter back from the "Director" Mark Venkatasami. Customer service they've never heard of it. If you want a "run-down" out of town hotel, this is... We came here for an afternoon tea experience after booking with last minute.com. Before I booked I rang to ask if they has wheelchair access for my friend. They said they don't but where happy to have ramps in place in the steps and assist us with the pool. When we arrived there were no ramps to be seen, and... More

Its rare I write negative reviews but OMG. I arrived and was booked into my room, In a rush to set up paperwork for the next day I when straight to the reception and asked for food options. Restaurant or bar. There was a deal for 3 courses. Also looked like it would be quicker so I went for that.... More

i stayed here for a night whilst visiting relatives. The town had suffered flooding over the weekend and sadly, many places were affected. This included the hotel's bar and swimming pool but they were very upfront and apologetic about this. The room was well-equipped and standard hotel layout. Clean bathroom and bedroom, just what I would expect. The bed was... More

Been visiting this hotel over 10 years. It was a relatively cheap place to stay up until now hence the boredom of the place coupled with its poor and tired decor and growl of the A12 was tolerable. However, they now charge best part of £100 per night for a double room (used to be about £65). It's a horrible... More

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay as I was attending a midweek wedding. On arrival all looked okay. Stayed in room 448 and when walking to the room, it really does look like a motel. Had a twin room, it was very dated, but ok. Cleanliness was an issue. With dead flies in picture frames and stained carpets... More

I had read some bad reviews for this hotel, so I was prepared for the worst. However, I was pleasantly surprised (mostly!) My room was booked as a single, but it had enough room for two, and was clean with a very comfortable double bed. Contrary to previous bad reviews, there was no mould that I could find, the kettle...
