Really enjoyed my time in Southend and had the Gleneagles recommended by a friend. It's a great affordable guesthouse with lovely easy going staff. Great location on the seafront too. And the breakfasts were delicious.

We can't thank Garry and Penny enough for the wonderful experience at Gleneagles Guest House. Although the accommodation was very comfortable and provided everything we needed including a lovely, comfortable bed and super cooked breakfast, it is the excellent standard of service that really gives Gleneagles its edge. Plus of course its location. The owners couldn't do enough for us.... More

Just back from celebrating my mums birthday weekend and stayed at the Gleneagles. Tip one: they will give you a parking permit for a twenty pound deposit which is a big saver (£15.00 day saving). On arrival we were greeted in a fabulous courtyard where people were enjoying the sun and view. Location is perfect with amazing sea views and... More

Stayed for 1 night in May. Excellent location. Hotel owner very friendly, rooms clean and well stocked. Excellent cooked breakfast. Given use of a parking permit for 2 days which saved us over 20 quid in parking fees. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again.
