Seconds from the estuary view that would make this smart little guesthouse perfect, and five minutes from pebbly beach and waterside cafés of the Arches. Carefully cooked and sourced breakfast: includes healthier options of poached eggs with muffins and rocket, as well as generous grilled (not fried) full English, brilliant bacon, great Greek yoghourt, and daily prepared fresh fruit. Gorgeous... More

Its so refreshing to find a place like this with owners who really care about the experience of their guests and offer great service with great attention to detail all at an affordable price. We spent just one night whilst visiting friends in the area and can't recommend highly enough. The bedroom was extremely comfortable and the breakfast better than... More

If you want to stay in a hotel without the pomp and ceremony but with everything else (accept room service which they don't have) this is the place. The owners are delightful and take great pride the service they provide. Situated a moment away from the beach it is a perfect spot to stay. A group of us stayed there... More

Can't believe William P from Belfast stayed in the same hotel, from our experience his comments are unwarranted. My wife & I stayed for a wedding last weekend on our first visit to Southend. We were greeted warmly by our hosts and even offered fresh milk for tea & coffee in our bedroom, which was very clean, comfortable & quiet... More

The trinity hotel is a dirty, smelly, fusty, poorly maintained over priced dump. The owners love the sound of their own voice with constant rabbiting of drival. Poor food & a cluttered up lounge .yuck

It is very upsetting to receive such a spiteful unfounded review. This guest came with a family party who were attending a wedding, all of whom, including the bridegroom were very complimentary about their stay. Luckily we have over 100 reviews remarking on our friendly hospitality, cleanliness and excellent breakfasts. Hopefully, future guests will see through this unkind review. More

Stayed for one night when visiting a show at the Cliffs. We didn't have a problem parking in the next street. The room was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Our hosts Alan and Jill made us very welcome and took time out to chat about the local area. As previously mentioned the breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and... More

Hosts are friendly and helpful, room was spotless, bed comfy and the breakfast excellent. The breakfast was definitely the highlight for me: home-made granola, home-grown rhubarb and lovely yoghurt plus beautifully cooked hot food. No hesitation in staying again when in the area. Used public transport so didn't have a parking issue.

Stayed here for a night when visiting for a show at The Cliffs. We had room 3 with the double + single. Both beds were comfy, hosts were friendly and the breakfast was first class. As others have mentioned though trying to find a parking space nearby can be quite tricky.

A lovely period property in a very convenient location for the Cliffs Pavilion, clean comfortable rooms run by lovely people who have excellent hosting skills. One of the best breakfasts we have had, nothing fried and every bite delicious. Parking can be a little difficult as it is free on-street parking but is available although you may have a short...
