Me and my partner stayed here recently and stayed in the King Suite which is very good value, it was a very comfortable stay, the room was lovely (very clean). The views were fantastic and the staff were lovely. Would definately stay again and would recommend to anybody looking for a short break!

I periodically visit a valued customer in Shoeburyness and always take the chance to stay at the Camelia Hotel if possible. I'm hardly a regular, but somehow I always get upgraded to a sea-view room, which I can highly recommend even if you had to stump-up the small premium. The rooms are very clean with good quality furnishings and decent... More

The only problem I had was that the bed headboard really did not exist, it was comprised of bars through which the pillows escaped ! However this was a minor point I really enjoyed my... More

At very short notice I phoned the Camelia Hotel to see if they had a room free for the weekend. With only a couple of days notice I was not expecting too much, so what a pleasant surprise we had. We arrived on the Saturday and checked in, immediately impressed with the friendly staff. Our room was impressively clean, I... More

We are regular visitors to SOS but this is the first, but not last time we will stay at the Camelia. Upon arrival we were cheerfully greeted by Doreen, she told us that we had been upgraded to a suite for our stay. When shown to this lovely room we were very pleased as it had everything we needed and... More

Stayed prior to an event for World Book Day. This hotel was amazing. Bedroom was very clean and well laid out. The bathroom was very modern and exceptionally clean. Warm towels and wifi that worked! Brilliant breakfast and very reasonable price. Superb!

Just arrived back from the Camelia Hotel. My wife and I booked an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast as part of the package. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We were in Southend to go to the theatre and we found the advice given to us about travelling to the theatre to be very useful. The room... More
