Amazing stay for just 1 night - room is beautiful very well finished with lots of modern concepts. Not the sort of hotel you would find in South Essex but it is a real find with food also very good, Made to feel very welcome and would happily stay again.

Booked a three night stay on recommendation from family. a pretty average room.but threadbare carpet on stairs let it down. The food in the pub was first class. The continental breakfast included in the tariff was of very poor quality, bread for toast, a croissant and a selection of three cereal with a yogurt concoction in my opinion does not... More

On a previous business trip, we discovered the Bell for dinner, and enjoying it so much, the team all decided we would go back there a second night to eat. The food is excellent. As we had to return to the Thurrock area for another work assignment, The Bell was a natural choice to stay, and certainly the hotel lived... More

A late business lunch for four including one even later arrival, was accommodated with total efficiency by the staff. Every dish passing our table from the kitchen, looked amazing. We had trouble making our choices. Two had fish and 2 the vegetarian mains followed by stunning sweets. Never disappoints and great value for money. Always a treat.

The pub, dating back to the 1400's has to be one of the most welcoming places to have a drink anywhere in England! The restaurant is always busy and the food is fabulous. The hotel has such lovely rooms/ suites and the rates are very competitive. I can't recommend it enough!

Another wonderful evening, attentive staff, delicious menu, so hard to choose what delight to explore but never had a bad meal here. Will come back time and again. It has its own draw summer or winter and obviously a staunch beloved clientele....

This nice hotel was a real surprise. Notwithstanding it is in the middle of no where this hotel has several good characteristics. A part the kindness in the reception i was in a suite room at a good rate very large and confortable. Astonishing the tv screen. Very new room in a nice typical Essex house. Good restaurant even if... More
