We were considering staying here prior to the next time we flew out of Stansted, so visited for an evening meal. The service was terrible, cleanliness lacking - sent 2 glasses back as had lipstick on them; food awful - when the food off the limited menu eventually arrived it failed to reflect what was on the menu - we... more

We got a last minute booking on late rooms and had a very nice stay in this hotel. We were going to a wedding nearby and it was perfect. It was clean and the room was spacious. Not the most modern decor but I think it is having a refit sometime soon. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.... more

Check-in was fine and we were told we could access our room via the car park. It was in a converted barn and our first impression was the room was ok, if a bit dark. We wanted something to eat and were short on time so headed to the bar for a sandwich. On our way back into the hotel,... more

Room ok but to say we only had a drip of water come out of the shower is an understatement. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was not very warm and overall not that good. more

It was very reasonably priced and the room was a good size and fairly clean. We had dinner and departed early the next morning of the 31st for a flight to Canada. My husband checked us out and didnt realize until we got home that a breakfast charge was added to our bill in amt of 13pounds although we never had... more

Just a quick note to say we stayed here for the night before we flew out of Stansted. The hotel was fine the room was nice, clean and well decorated. The free cab service to and from the airport was exellent as were the reception staff. The car parking was fine too. All in all, very good and would do... more

We booked one night here with a week's parking before a flight from Stansted. Stayed in an outside room which was perfectly functional and clean and where the bed settee had been made up for our three year old (usually we have to do this ourselves). Included in the price was a return journey to the airport in a people... more

Stayed here for one night with my family. One of the reasons for selecting this hotel was the close distance to Stansted (£11 with taxi). Truly happy with this hotel, sure the hotel building is old and the floors are tilted but it has charm. The room was clean and big and with a nice bathroom. The funny stuff is... more

We stayed for 1 night at the Saracens Head Hotel and thank goodness that was all it was. Reading about it on the internet, we thought it would be an upmarket, period hotel that we could start our holiday at. How wrong could we be. Basically, the hotel mainly functions as a car park - everyone pays the hotel rate... more
