On no account trust this hotel with your credit card details. I agreed to pay the set bed and breakfast rate when I booked by telephone. I was asked if I would like the card kept open. I said no, yet futher money was debited from my card without any consultation, or authorisation from myself. Despite numerous phone calls, I... more

This place is not terrible as some of the other reviews state. The place is not in central london, therefore it is cheaper... It is not cheaper because it is terrible, instead I think it is quite reasonably priced for its location. Tne hotel is in Epping which is the very last stop on the central line out of london,... more

More of a Motel than a Hotel. Block accommodation accessed directly from out side. There are three 2 story blocks each with around 14 rooms per floor. As a female travelling alone, I did feel a bit uneasy at one point! I was outside on of the blocks taking things out of my car when I noticed a chap hiding... more

At £79 bed and breakfast through Laterooms, this hotel is decent enough - I don't like having to pay for wi-fi, and you get charged £5 for 24 hrs, so it could be worse. Breakfast was average - self service hot and cold choices. Pillows and mattress could have been better, and wooden screens instead of blinds or curtains were... more

Was going to see my uncle, who resides at a nursing home in East London on Sunday morning, and as the weather forecast was nice, we decided to make it into a weekend break, and stay over night in Epping, as we used to spend quite a few Sunday afternoons there a few years ago, on our way back from... more

The Quality Hotel Epping is the name given by its current owners (Omni, I believe) to an establishment that has undergone several name changes over the decades -- Bell Hotel, Post House, Holiday Inn -- as well as physical expansion. It is located 16 miles north of central London on the B1393, a minor yet often busy road that runs... more

Stayed 3 nights in an executive room. Staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable for the money. Room smelt faintly of paint so I presuming it had just been decorated. Room was clean and adequate for my needs. Breakfast was a buffet style and the waitress service for tea and toast was prompt, however the cooked elements of... more

Having read other reviews, I wondered what to expect! In fact, this is perfectly OK for an overnight stay. Bits look as if they need an update, and decor is not to everyone's taste, but our experience was of a basic room as good as most motels, clean and functional. We saw welcoming, friendly, polite, attentive staff, some of whom... more

Truly memorable for the wrong reasons. The only hotel we could find in the area and not that pleasant at all. Having booked direct with the hotel to specify a twin smoking room and a triple non smoking we ended up with a.... double non smoking and a triple room that stunk as though a band of 250 smokers had... more

Stayed here for one night due to a wedding nearby. The hotel served its purpose, but isn't particularly nice. It's very dated, located in the middle of nowhere, and I wouldn't want to use the restaurant. However, staff were nice and there were no real problems with our stay. As it's cheap so if you need somewhere to stay in... more
