I have travelled all over the world and can sleep almost anywhere. Based on your location, sometimes you have to accept that standards vary. This is Chelmsford in Essex, in the very centre but filthy dirty room Electric wires exposed Blood on carpet 1 very thin pillow on each bed I think a prison may be to a higher standard... More

Our room in this hotel was pretty horrific, the only window went straight on to an internal corridor so we had to keep the curtain closed the whole time. There was no external window. They provide us with a fan but that was little compensation for how boiling hot the room was. There was no breakfast provided which was a... More

Just ok , nothing special my salad nicoise was ok but a tiny portion of tuna , the dressing was good but not French and no anchovies! We waited quite a while and were apologised to twice. I don't think I would bother again.

Clean comfortable good-sized single room with comfortable single bed and en-suite bathroom. Large wardrobe, bedside table with room light switches, table with draws and a 19-inch Freeview TV with remote, a fan/heater and a poof chair for sitting at the desk which had room for my 15-inch laptop to use the free Wi-Fi which worked for the whole weekend stay... We recently went to visit on a Friday late afternoon/early evening and didn't stick around for long. It attracts all the wrong sort if people. It was packed with drunk idiot lads acting the fool outside and silly girls who had too much rose blush. The music was at a level that I'm surprised was legal and the meathead security... More

We stayed here overnight to celebrate my friends 18th birthday. When we arrived we were slightly annoyed to hear that there isnt any parking and were told to pay for the car park behind the hotel or go out and search for free parking. the customer service when we arrived was awful, with a very unenthusiastic woman behind the desk.... Middle of town, sitting on the high street. Popped in for some lunch and the food was good service quick and friendly. No complaints from me, a great place for some food and a few drinks in the middle of town.

Dear Sir, Re: Tuesday 20th May 2014 We were working our way across the south east working on various sites which lead us to Writtle, which is where we needed to stay overnight. We Googled bed and breakfast’s at around 6.30pm and were happy to find a family room at Saracens Head Hotel for £90. We duly arrived and checked... More
