A lovely lunch today at Marygreen, My reasons for 4 star rating is that the although service was excellent to begin with it deteriorated as more diners were seated. It was not awful just not as attentive as we are used to at the venue. We retired for coffee but again service was very slow (Cyril is normally around, unfortunately... More

I had my entire Wedding at the hotel and they were very helpful with everything including the preparations like recommending a great Toastmaster. The venue is lovely and rustic, and the room we stayed in was lovely and clean. I would happily recommend this hotel to all. My only quarry would be that the ceremony room it is a little... More

Food was lovely and well presented. Priced at £30pp i would do it again but not regularly. Lack of communication between staff meant we had to re request pigeon. (I had asked for 1 instead of 2 portions but it did not arrive) Non alcoholic cocktail seemed to contain orange which made my partner ill (we had asked for no... More

We chose this hotel for our wedding night for the 4 poster beds and whirlpool baths. We were very excited about it. However when we arrived we found we couldn't get to the bar because there was a wedding party there so were forced to find another local pub to get a drink. On our return the wedding party had... My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel in the Catherine of Aragon Suite for our 10th wedding anniversary celebrations. The suite is lovely and welcoming, with fresh fruit and water ready and waiting for you. The en suite bathroom is quite big with a shower and a bath and then a separate toilet. Parts of the room... We booked to stay here for one night through a last minute booking website. It cost us £80 with breakfast. The building from the outside is full of character and is very well kept. It must be said that the interior and decoration will not be to everyones taste, it is very grand and old fashioned, but is totally in... More

Visited for Fathers Day lunch this year. I have been once before and upon returning was not disappointed. The food was outstanding as was the service. The building itself adds to any occasion with its history and detailed interior. A definite for a special meal out.

We got dropped off at this hotel and at first glance I was not overly impressed, however walk in the door and its a completely different story. ......amazimg staff, efficient and friendly. The room was lovely and well equipped. Once checked in and handed the keys to the room, we walked through the most beautiful, relaxing courtyard, peaceful and on... More

I have been visiting this hotel for various occasions over the last 40 years and was dining there with friends for Sunday lunch. As always the staff are very attentive and the dining room is lovely. We all ordered the beef, all done to varying degrees of 'doneness' as requested and all very good as were the starters and the... More

I love this hotel. I have been here now for 2 weddings and have stayed in various rooms, all of which have been brilliant. The standard of service from all the staff is impeccable and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I think this hotel works well for special occasions or just visiting alike. Defiantly recommend a stay.
